I have a question, how do LinkShare or CJ or Direct Revenue or ad networks, get their advertisers, like getting all the advertises and then sign up the publishers later on through those advertiser?

How do ad network like CJ sign up for those advertisers all at once? if one has idea please share with me, I want to know.

Do they have to go one by one advertiser contact them individually or is there a BIG NETWORK, that gives the Advertisers to CJ or something?

Please help me

Thanks

Not sure I understand your question but:

CJ, Linkshare et all MANAGE affiliate programs for the advertisers (i.e. HP, Apple, Walmart, etc.). The advertisers pay them to run their affiliate programs - if the advertiser thinks they will run their program effectively and produce a good ROI (return on investment) they will sign with them. Some advertisers come to them, I'm sure their sales staff tries to recruit new ones.

PUBLISHERS (you, me, anyone with a website) must apply to the programs one by one, since the advertisers have different criteria for approval.

Enly's post above is dead on.
If you're looking to manage your own set of affiliates, its a matter of going after niche publishers directly.

I am looking to open my own affiliate network, what would be the first step?

I also want to have my own affiliate network. I did my research last year, found that which is not cheap. They provide total affiliate network solution/platform, for setup fee alone is about 13k and hosting fee 1k per month and if you need more bandwidth then you have to upgrade to more expensive package. Other cost like integration fee you may also need to consider.

if you're looking to setup your own, and you're looking to do it the proper way, then yes, you have to put in the investment. DirectTrack is one that I was looking at . It didnt fit me as I was looking for specific publishers, and NOT an affiliate network (consisting of multiple publishers and multiple advertisers).

There fees was in the 3-5k setup range, with a monthly fee of a couple hundred bucks.

I am ganna have my own company to set up everything and get it going, web developers and all that to run company.

But Direct TRACK is the only way to sign up with all the major advertisers? if there any other way to sign up with major advertiser?

Thank in advance rep given to those who reported in this thread.
