I presume you ordered a server because your current account was no longer sufficient for your site - was your existing account upgraded, or do you now have 2 different hosting accounts?

Try asking support if they can migrate the site over for you.

Other hosts have done that for me when I wanted to upgrade my sites from a shared hosting account to a vps account. I also recall WHM does have some function to move sites between servers.

i want to try something else with different host. I order a dedicated server from a well know web hosting company. I login WHM and create a package but after that i have no ideals what to do.

What specifically are you trying to do?

It may be worth while for you to look into hiring a server management company

yeah hiring a server management company will solve the problem however i will not learn anything :)

Anyway take me about 2 hours and now its working fine. However when I try to add another domain i got this error "Sorry, you are not allowed to add any more than (0) add on domains! The domain below was not setup! "

Any suggestion ?

Thanks advance

When you created the package you probably left "Max Addon Domains" at 0

If "Max Add Domains" is at "0", just increase this number to the amount of domains you need. (You can edit the package to do this)

Same thing, "Max Parked Domains" you probably have set to 0 as well. Just raise that too. :D

Sorry, you're right. I read that too quickly. Try this:

Server Configuration --> Tweak Settings

Under "Domains" make sure the checkbox is checked for:
"Allow users to park subdomains of the server's hostname main domain."

Yeah you are right!!! and now i got this error
Error from park wrapper: Using nameservers with the following IPs: xx.xx.x.x,xx.xxx.x.x Sorry, the domain is already pointed to an IP address that does not appear to use DNS servers associated with this server. Please transfer the domain to this servers nameservers or have your administrator add one of its nameservers to /etc/ips.remotedns and make the proper A entries on that remote nameserver.
:hehe:

The domain is from 1and1 and i just edit the dns

Once DNS updates (if edited properly) you should be ok.

Good luck with your new server!

It's good to see that you managed to resolve your problem. It can be very scary when you first see WHM but becomes much easier over time.

If you have a "managed" dedicated server, yes. Otherwise the configuration and administration is totally up to you.

Some web hosts charge setup fee. Some not, but they include setup fees into the price of dedicated server.

hi all
A web server is software that continuously runs on a computer and allows other computers to download documents from it. This text that you're reading right travelled over a network connection from Lifehacker's hosting web server to your browser. Web servers are usually loud, scary, headless machines in cold windowless rooms, but you can run one under your desk at home.

Why would you want to run a home web server? Maybe you want to download files on your home computer from anywhere. Like, say, your digital music collection. In this how-to, we'll set up a home web server that lets anyone (with the right password!) connect to your computer and download your MP3's from it, for a nice way to share your music collection with friends, or play a song from your home machine at the office for co-workers.

Please note: Running a server on your home computer is a risky undertaking, and before you start, make sure your computer has all the latest patches and security updates, and that you've done a thorough spyware and virus scan. This tutorial is for advanced users who feel comfortable editing textual configuration files and exposing port 80 on their home computer to the internet. As always, a strong firewall with explicit user-set rules is recommended. Still game? Carry on.
thanks for all other post
