I just purchased a dedicated server, how do i set it up?

I have:

Primary IP Address
Secondary IP Address(es)
Gateway
Subnet Mask
Primary DNS
Initial username
Password
Root password
OS Load: Ubuntu Server 6.06

I have used the primary and secondary IP addresses as my nameservers already (i think i use those).

What do I do now? Is there any guide on the internet telling you how to do this?

I'll save you the trouble.

PSM: http://www.platinumservermanagement.com/
(Only if you run cPanel, though.)

There are some other companies out there if you don't have cPanel.

No offense, but you shouldn't waste money on a server when you don't know how to run it. PSM runs a very solid but affordable server management company. The howto's on the internet will teach you the basics, but they won't help you when things inevitably break down or your server is compromised.

For a guide, try the tutorials area on http://www.webhostingtalk.com/

Just a quick point -- even with webmin, you're going to need to keep an eye on some things. Specifically logs. If you don't monitor/delete/prune them, you're hard drive will become overrun with them, and things will slow down as the files grow larger in size and quantity. Also, mysql by default logs to internal tables, and these need to be periodically flushed as well.

Also make sure you catch emails sent to local accounts (e.g. "root" at "localhost") or you'll end up with piles of unread and unwanted cron job email reports and the like.
