This should help

from here https :// www . siteground . com/kb/how_to_redirect_nonwww_urls_to_www/

In order to redirect all of the requests for yourdomain.com to www.yourdomain.com, you should set the appropriate rewrite rule. This can be done by adding the following lines at the beginning of the .htaccess file in your public_html folder:

RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^yourdomain.com [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.yourdomain.com/$1 [L,R=301]

From now on, when someone accesses http://yourdomain.com s/he will be redirected to http://www. yourdomain.com.

PS MODS: I tried to unlink the sites but the UNLINK function doesn't work~!!
and i didn't want the spaces in it cause it will mess up his ACCESS file ;)

From SEO perspective, it doesn't matter.
If in future, you have any plans for having websites on sub-domains, it is better having www. and if this is the only website you will have, then it doesn't matter.

Doesn't matter. But the redirect matters.

I have faced same question...after extensive research (reading several posts by experts)...I found that it does not play any role in SEO.

But, I prefer www.....

www is an atavism from 90'-s, when it was totally needed. Now servers know perfectly how to dispatch browser queries, with or without www.

For a site on a brand new domain, it totally doesn't matter if you add www or not. But i'd say, and many people would agree, that without www the address looks cleaner, nicer, and more aesthetic so to say. No unneeded clatter.

But if you build a site on a dropped domain, then from SEO point of view it's very important to keep the previous version. Just check the backlinks in ahrefs or any other tool, and if most important backlinks are leading to www version then leave www. And vice versa. Because you get some loss in link juice when using redirects.

From SEO perspective, it doesn't matter.
If in future, you have any plans for having websites on sub-domains, it is better having www. and if this is the only website you will have, then it doesn't matter.
Please stop talking about what you have no idea.
