How to sell .ORG and .NET?

Hello fellow NPs,

I have a few one-word Spanish .ORG and .NET that I want to sell to end users.
They are generic words so every popular extension are already taken. Also ccTLD are taken too.

So, take this domain name, for example: Pelotas.org (balls in Spanish)
Do you go and try to sell your DN to the owner of Pelotas.com.ar (Argentina), or Pelotas.com.pe (Peru), or Pelotas.com.py (Paraguay)?

In short, is a .ORG more valuable than the .com.ccTLD using the example above?

What about .NET? Are them more valuable than the exact-match.com.cctld?

I see my DNs as an upgrade for businesses that have the same KW but in weaker extensions like .biz, and I believe they will see my .ORG or .NET as an upgrade of their current domain, but I don't know about the .COM.COUNTRY.

What is the general consensus about this?

Thanks in advance.

Usually if a business is all nice and settled on a cctld, a .org or .net won't peak their interest albeit;....

The .org still has a chance. Which one is most like an organization?

If your examples are the actual leads, I personally wouldn't bother w/ outbound.

I'm not saying they're aren't any credible sites hosted on a .biz...but the ones that are, generally don't care about upgrading their name. Generally speaking of course.

What you outlined above is a tough sale. And your really shooting in the dark. .Org presumably would be better than the .net in the above, but still....likely lacking.

When it comes to reaching out to end users the best results will be when you have a .com which is most of the time the better version of the other domains people are using. Sometimes though there are 1 word .net/.org or .info that have value when it comes to end users.

I use Zfbot.com to see what other sites related to that domain this gives you an idea of the potential people you can reach out to. Most of the time though when it comes to one word names in other extensions besides .com you can have success selling them at Flippa and even on the NamePros Auctions.

When I filter for 1 word names I tend to focus on buying the ones with high search volume as this will be a good selling point.

The best thing for .org keywords is to be posted on GD/Afternic with buy it now price. In that case, if a non-profit goes looking for it to register (and quite often that is the only way they know how to find a name), it will show in search results as available premium domain with premium price.

Thank you all for your amazing advise, really!

Tomorrow I'll do my first outbound "hunt", I'll keep this thread updated if I happen to make a sell
