What is the safest way to sell a domain in this forum as a new user without trader rating? How it usually works? I think nobody will pay me before receiving the domain. Maybe only scammers, who do a chargeback at Paypal after getting my domain.
I have heard that MoneyBookers is safer for seller than Paypal, because buyer cannot chargeback. So i only have 2 options? Selling to a forum member with 50+ trader rating: domain first, money after (it's still risky). Or sell to member who trusts me: some % of $150 first to MoneyBookers, then transfer domain.

Any help appreciated, i don't want to get scammed selling my first domain.

It seems this has already been sold at Bin without any stipulations. You cannot sell to anyone else unless the buyer doesn't pay. The buyer is a long time member, with only 1 TR which is a bit fishy that this is only the 2nd domain he's bought here. But until someone has a bad experience with him, I'd say it should be ok to accept his PayPal payment. The buyer also cannot reasonably change the terms of his offer once posted sold without any conditions. So it would not be correct for him to be asking for domain first before payment.

OK. I see the problem. You stated PayPal payment from a trusted member. I'd say that a buyer with only 1 TR may or may not be a trusted member. It would be up to you to decide. But in his favor he's been a member for 5 years. Does he explain why this is this only his second domain purchase.

It's up to you to decide. Sell to him with PayPal with a normal transaction or sell to the other more trusted member with his terms and conditions. Selling domains is not risk free.

Personally, I'd think you would be satisfied with either buyer. I'd choose the original buyer from your thread with full payment via PayPal.

The only thing you can really do for absolute protection is escrow. You could either do escrow.com w/ $25 fee as that's their min, or you could list it fixed price at Sedo and park the domain at Sedo to reduce their minimum fee to 10%.

At the level you sold it at, PayPal is USUALLY fine, but it depends on how much you can afford to take the risk. I think options are always important, so you should at least offer escrow as an option (I always have buyer pay escrow fees and IMO that's pretty standard as it's more for their protection than yours).

Your buyer only has TR1, but look how many posts they have made here, and as stub said they have been a member for a long time. Scammers are not to lose a profile like that for a domain with a price of $150, IMO.

Still, you should play it safe and find out who they are and where they are located. Escrow.com is a fine suggestion that removed risk, but adds a fee. I would ask them to send you a check, money order, or other form of payment that cannot be reversed. Then you can give them the domain when the payment clears and you have the money. This is safe and low cost.

If the buyer needs the domain quickly, you can change the name servers to the ones he wants so he can use it today, but you still retain control until payment is finalized. :)

If you know your buyer fairly well, I feel PayPal is as safe as anything else. You can follow my advice above about the name servers if you are worried. If they buyer insists, don't sell.
