:hi:-,

This is my first post on the NP forum :)

I have never sell a domain name before, so i would like to know if you have some advices in negociating a selling price.

I was contacted by a start-up company for one of my domain name: f a n//SEO unfriendly//m i x (.c o m)

They made a first offer of 2K USD.
Do you think it is a fair price?

Because of the currency rate, it's only 1.4K EUROS for me, which doesn't seems that much.

Thanks for your help,
Franck

An initial bid of 2k is substantial. I would counter w/ $3500.
If they offered you 2K I'm thinking they will offer you a second
or counter offer of at least $2500 and perhaps more. How are your
nerves? They may walk.:o

If the additional amount is not overly important to you then take
the good advice from my "mates" and "Fly Like An Eagle" I mean
"Take The Money And Run"

If the conversation morphs into a discussion about appraisals then the offer is most likely a scam set up. If they ask ... tell them you give them permission to go get an appraisal from any service they like.

Good luck

Thanks you guyz for your advices :)

In the end, I tried to sell it for $2.7k but it didn't work. So I agreed instead on the first 2K proposal + an extra php script ($0.6k value - because they were producing it, but i don't really know what i am going to do with it ^^) + the escrow fees for the buyer ($166).

Well, thanks again for your help. It was my first sell :)
