Hi All:

I been trying to figure out how to make money with .ca

I've come to the conclusion that to make money in the short term (less than one year) I should only reg names with 500+ domain scores - if I can find them!

Any ideas, comments?

Thanks,

Danto

Had a quick look, it's not too clear from this http://www.domainscore.com/about/

I think it's hard with domains to get a scientific gauge of good names. It has a good link at the bottom of the page, however.

Thanks

Honestly I would not bother about these co-called domain scores.

I wouldn't use something like this for instance zz.ca is rated 299, yet I've had multiple x,xxx offers on it.

Cheers,

Cheers for the heads up. Their methodology isn't clear so I didn't really trust it either in the end.

Depends on what you do with it.
I wouldn't suggest parking, at least for me they
don't do that well.

One of my .ca's is a directory, and in the last 3 months
over 40,000 visitors and over $60.00 not the best - but
it's always increasing.
and the domainscore isin't even over 300!
so I don't think that matters.

This one does better than some of my .com's :)

DomainScore #'s are like online appraisals - sometimes they'll be close, sometimes way off - it certainly shouldn't be your only tool for determining value.

I have had a fair bit of luck with ppc on .ca names - most of them at least pay for their renewals. Mini-sites are probably a better way to go though.

Likely type-in keyword and keyword phrases (canadians do use direct navigation with .ca extension) seem to do well and I have had some good serp in google.ca even for parked pages.

I've been pleasantly surprised by hits and ppc income from a couple of typo .ca names that I picked up through TBR a few months back.

There are still plenty of good keyword phrase names available at reg fee. Haven't found the ideal way of marketing them to end-users yet though.

Thanks Cera:

I think there is money to be made with .ca if you choose domains carefully!
