Dears,

I will go to Dallas at the end of this month to visit my wife.:)

My wife is a student at Dallas, and I got a F2 visa.I will stay with her for 2 month.I don't want to wast my time during the two months,so I hope I can find something to do to earn some money.

I never go to US,I feel it's difficult to find a job,right?

Do you have some advise for me to do?Or maybe you have a job for me?lol

Thank you

Bean

Translation would be pretty sweet. I know someone who is looking for someone to translate a english website to a chinese version, when you get to the USA, please private message me and i will line this up for you, i will need to know a price as well. This isnt a easy project, this is a project of over 3,500 pages. And im sure $10-$15/per page would be fine for something like this, and i know the person would pay per page that was translated.

Buy domains you think have value. Resell them for more than what you paid for them. Build and develop turnkey sites. Sell them. Sell services such as web design, forum posting, etc.

Enjoy lil lady.

Now there's a cool job-offer if I ever saw one... Would be great if that works out!

Just one point in mind: I am not sure your visa grants you the right to seek work in the US. I am not qualified to provide a legal answer but maybe on http://www.state.gov/ you can find more info on the topic.

Are there anything in China that you can bring to the US and sell for more? It would have to be small or flat to make it easyer to bring and could not be plants or animals.

stick with domain biz ...

you can find a job at private gas stations because the organization is not going to hire you unless you have SSN.

i'll suggest stick with domaining :)

If IIRC F-2 means you are here as the spouse/child of an F-1 Visa which is a student visa. You cannot legally work while in the US on an F-2 visa and if you are found to be working you could have your visa pulled and be deported from the U.S.

I appreciate you would like to work while you are here but basically no employer will be able to hire you with that visa. You will be required to fill out an I-9 and show proof that you are able to work in the States.

You will have to find something off the books OR perhaps you can check with your embassy and see if they have something for you to do? I am sure they can always use someone who is bi-lingual and if you are in their employ then I believe it would be employment through the Chinese government and get you around the visa issues.

Good luck with the search.

Buy a lot of cheap domains in china and resell them in the US .... :)

Good luck for finding a job, if you know graphics or coding i would suggest to do that while you re there. Translation can be good too, check out classifieds in china if any company need a chinese contact in the US, maybe you ll find smthg to do.

Most likely you could get a job in the fast food industry or a stocking job. They don't pay the best, but with no previous experiance it would be a good start. Plus it is better than not doing anything.
