Hi!

I have a couple auctions going on at the moment. One for Flippa, and one for GoDaddy.

How do i drive more traffic to these listings? I have posted on Twitter and social media already.

Thanks in advance!

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

It is indeed a challenge. If not already done you can post a link in the external section.

I am not sure if you are too new for links in signature, but that sometimes helps. You can of course putchase promotion as well.

i Saw Bob had already posted about “external auction”

Flippa is a tough place to try and maximize any ROI, mostly wholesale buyers there

It's a bit late to be asking this question AFTER you listed already.

What you should have done first which I've observed the pros do on here is list a domain for sale for couple weeks or months in external domains section. Usually as Make Offer.

They keep "bumping" the thread 5 a day if you have a paid account.

Bump it several days. This will get a views count up high.

This attracts more views. Hopefully your domain is good though. Better chance they will check out your domain.

And loh and behold it's at auction!

Score for them and you.

That's how it's done properly.

1 month of bumping a thread really gets the view count up. Triggers interest.

People are simple like that always fixated on high and low numbers.

Low prices high view counts on threads .

Happens to me alot.

Go to the auction screen and have the whole family take a look at it. You will get more views.

Depending on the keyword of your domain. Like if it has two keywords . Take each keyword. Find out who owns domains with similar keywords.

Find their Whois info for email if it's not private.

Save to list.

Now here's the problem..you are either someone who is ok with spamming or not ok with spamming.

Your choice.

You can get into trouble.

Me? When I get such emails? I'll check it out and send email to spam. Done and done. No retaliation because I understand these people are just hustling.

Others? Probably report spam.

That said never use your actual email address.

Don't like looking at Whois till your eyes bleed? There are options online to get such lists efficiently.

And then you can contact domain websites that have a ton of domainer traffic. Some have affordable prices for ads. Their reps are on here.

At the end of the day no amount of promoting will sell a domain or get more eyes on it than the actual quality of the domain.

You can drive traffic to your auction via social media posting Twitter, Linkedin, Facebook etc.

You can also put your auction link Namebio.com by paying a small fee.
