How to deal with this registrar

I got a domain auctioned from snapnames. The registrar that snapnames used for that domain is getyername.com

For many months, I tried to access my domain and transfer the domain out, however their web interface for getyername.com is hard to understand. I spent hours trying to figure out how to use it. Finally I got the auth code from snapnames, but getyername.com still would not approve the transfer, they locked the domain in their system. Since I could not access their control panel, I could not do anything. Their support simply repeats the statement that "Please use the Renewal/Update link on our main page to access the account verification page.". However the renewal/update link never worked for me. This goes on back and forth for a few weeks now. I am thinking just let the domain expire, it is not worth the effort anymore to deal with getyername.com

When I called their voice mail, no one answered, I just leave messages. They don't call you back. When they reply to my email, they only repeat this: "Please use the Renewal/Update link on our main page to access the account verification page."

How do people deal this kind of problem registrar?

just an update on this. I requested to snapnames again. Snapnames provided me with the auth code and unlocked the domain. However Get Yer Name denied the transfer again. It sent me an form to fax back. This form asked credit card as well as photo id etc. Does it sound right? Why does Get Yer Name getyername.com make so difficult to anyone?
