How To Calculate Actual Domain Age?

hi guys,
sorry for this question.

Ok, i noticed that the older the domain, the price also becomes higher.

I had bought an expired domain which was registered since 2002. So that domain age is 10 years right?

after that I recheck using domain age tools checker, it said the new age is 1 Month only.

so why this happened? is it can considered as aged domain? sorry for my english. :blink:

Now I am understand about it. No wonder why so many peoples get involved in auctions.

As what as you have mentioned above, an aged domains just one of the factors, so the other factors such as backlinks, traffic , etc we should consider right?

so, may I know, which criteria is more important to looks for?
1- Backlink
2- Traffic
3- Pagerank

I think the most important thing to consider is the quality of the domain itself. While the things you've listed are important nothing is more important then the quality of the domain name.

@Skinny - I think smurge would not agree with you if you are looking for parking revenue. But if you are looking at resale value to an end-user, then you might be right.

@sayedazhar I'd say Quality Backlinks and Traffic are the most important factors if you are looking for parking revenue. I don't pay much attention to Pagerank myself. Just Quality Backlinks and Traffic and what was on the website previously.

Previously I had bought too many useless domain without doing any research first. huhu..
so now I will not let it happen again
