I have a NNNNN.com and the .net is developed into some Chinese site. Not to sure how keen they would be on the domain since the .net seems to be redirected (some weird redirection like a .tk domain where the URL stays in the address bar but from the links in the status bar you can tell its another URL) to a NNNNNNNNNN.cn D-:

Anyway, do I approach them in English, whats the likelihood they will udnerstand? I think they would be able to udnerstand English but I am not sure. Also should I put the price in US$?

Find a broker who knows Chinese. I do, but I'm not too much of a broker.

OK well if I do agree a sale I can just send them a money request through paypal which says the money is for services and then they cant chargeback (I think) after I send them the domain or I could list it on TDNAM or something to complete the sale where there is more security or if the price is high I could use Escrow. So there are options for staying safe I guess.

Anyway first I have to agree a sale before I get to that part lol.

You could always try and learn Mandarin. That is providing you have a spare 10-odd years ;)

The only way you will find out is if you try. Drop them an e-mail and see what response you get.

English is HUGE in China. Everyone wants to learn the language because it is the International language of business. Walking down a street anywhere in China, I would be amazed if you didn't bump into at least one English language school.

Put the price in any currency you feel comfortable with. The US$ is traded all over the world, I'm sure they will be familiar with it ;)

Let us know how you get on.

E-mail the end user directly. English is pretty widely used. For everyone's safety, use Escrow.com.

Staff Edit - Quote Removed.

To OP, you'd better find a Chinese broker to help you negotiate a deal. I can't help in this case because Chinese end users won't pay a good price unless the website is being seriously developed and promoted. Unfortunately, most of the NNNNN.net sites in China are not that serious. You can approach them by using English in email, most of them know what you mean. Or you can PM me with your email content, I can send you a copy in Chinese, so you have a English-Chinese version email :)

Thread Cleaned up. :|

If your post doesn't relate to the question asked by the OP....then do NOT post. There is no need to post your opinions about the Chinese culture or any other culture for that matter...this is not the place for it. Answer what's asked for or don't post at all. ;)

Thank you.

make sure you get a good payment method that benefits you and a good middleman that knows both languages.
