How to approach travel agents to buy my domain

Hi everyone. First post here so i'd like to take the opportunity to thank everyone for all the helpful information i've picked up while reading the boards.

I've own a domain that relates to the travel/holiday/vacation industry.
I'd like to approach to approach travel agents/tour operators etc to see if they would like to buy it.

Does anyone have any advice on the best way to do this?, what to say to them etc?

Unless you have a very good domain, they will probably see you as an annoying person who is wasting their time. Approaching endusers is something that many people do in the hope that they sell a name bought cheap and want to sell high but more people do it badly then well.

offer quality domain and explain why do you think the domain is going to be of value for them
approach many, don't expect everyone is going to be excited, but somebody may become interested

And the greatest advice is, don't insult their intelligence. If your name is truly not high caliber do not make false claims about what they stand to gain.

Basically, just figure out people you think would be interested then snail mail them.

Put up a website with very lite and generic content. Use graphics that stoke the potential buyers emotions. Have a contact form asking for an offer.
