How often do you change pricing of your domains?

The majority of my domains are Buy Now pricing and anytime I have a slow month or two I tend to sometimes go back through my domains and lower the pricing. I know I probably should not but every time I do I end up selling a few. How often do you do it or do you do it at all?

I almost never reduce the prices I initially set.
When I set a price I have a reason for setting it and, reducing it afterwards, feels to me like I'm giving money away unnecessarily.

If I'm open to a lower price than the buy-now price then I leave the 'make offer' open for negotiations (that's actually the main reason I don't do business in Flippa, there is no way to turn the bloody make-offer thing off)

I used to change prices a lot but changed my strategy in 2015. Now I stick to one price.

I listed my domains on SEDO and Aftermarket just last month and have already changed prices of couple of my domains TWICE, lol. But hey, that's why they call me a newbie.

For domains that I think will have potential in future (like tech domains, think of Drones, Holo, Fog), I have not bothered to set any prices as I don't know what the future will bring.

Good day,

Pricing is too much of a bear to keep up with on different sales platforms to me. I have gone to all make an offer to simplify it. I figure if someone really wants a domain, they will offer and by pricing I could be leaving money on the table.

If I am contacting endusers, I will have a price in mind if they ask.

I leave it as Make Offer with min. set at low $x,xxxx. Make Offer is the way to go if you're listing the same domain at different sales platforms.

I am brand new to this board, but not to domain names. Have a domain just posted in auction and just raised the price although i never received a bid at the auction. Reason for doing this is to put the same domain on other sites for auction and although not getting suitable traffic, still think the domain is a good one and is worth the raised-price. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Don't we all love our domains? lol.

If you have faith on your domain then hold on to it. But even after holding for 2 years if it still isn't getting any inquiries, I've learned to then drop such names and move on with new ones.

Good luck,

I think it depends on how you set the price on your domains in the first instance. If you have deliberately set them high and aren't getting any bites, you might consider lowering your prices. The converse is also true. If you set them low and are getting lots of sales (great) but you might be leaving too much cash on the table, and might want to raise prices. If you think you've set the price about right. Then it's probably you marketing which needs brushing up (assuming you have good domains). For me personally, I don't use fixed prices. So I set my prices each time I get an enquiry :)

I do mostly BIN too, and I have been creeping my prices upwards to match the upward slope I'm seeing on Godaddy, Namejet, etc. I go through about once ever 2-3 weeks.
