I received a message today from a firm of stockbrokers in the UK asking if I was interested in putting 'featured links' on my blog.
I wrote back asking for further details, expecting to be offered an affiliate deal or an offer of some money in exchange for links/adverts on my blog.
Instead they asked me to put 2 links under 'useful links' from which people could sign up to their stockbroking service, and said
"In return for these links, you can use any content from our website for free" mmmmmmmmm free content.
I was surprised at their blatant cheek. Or was it just stupidity?
My question is how much can you expect to get for putting adverts on your blog ? Bear in mind that the stockbrokers in question are a big name in online share dealing in the UK and my blog is a PR2 that gets around 150 - 200 visitors a day. (It is the middle one in my sig.)
