I’ve noticed something interesting when comparing traffic stats across platforms:

Do you consider Similarweb stats important when evaluating domains or websites?
Would you pay more for a domain/website that shows higher traffic in Similarweb?
Or do you trust GA and other first-party data more?
- Google Analytics usually shows the most accurate numbers (since it’s on-site).
- Similarweb, on the other hand, often reports much lower traffic — sometimes only a fraction of GA.
This creates a bit of a challenge when:
- Potential buyers check Similarweb to judge a site’s traffic value.
- Startups pitch investors and get questioned on their Similarweb stats.
- Competing websites look stronger simply because of higher Similarweb rankings.
