are they trademarks ?
Google.com.cn/.cn sold for 1 million dollars
and gmail.co.in is got back.
myspace.com.cn /baidu.co.jp are in the non-google//non-myspace companies

it seems myspace.com.cn is a real company,is this domain worth 1 million?while there is a myspace.cn.
my space seems just like my blog,no trade mark problem,so the owner of myspace.com.cn is a big winner if myspace try to acquire it.

these are as solid TM infringements as you can get.

However, many people have profited from these TMs before Google or MySpace could get their hands on them. I don't think anyone but the most daring of domainers would buy them, but until then, these should enjoy some traffic.

microsoft spend 5 digit got back live.cn
cheap!

because Live is a generic term, and does not necessarily have to mean Microsoft Live.

Google, MySpace however, are specific TMs, not generics.

If I happen to buy Windows.com tomorrow, and place ads for Doors, Windows, and other home stuff, Microsoft would have a hard time against me

myspace....there is no serious TM issue.
My Space
Everyone has its space, how can myspace.com grab all myspace names?
there are lots of myspace domain names, myspace will feel dying to sue them even if they benefit from the myspace.com ,such as myspaces.com myspace.cm and so on.
and also,
myspace cctd / can be Mylasia Space Center ,or My Hosting /Living/Loving/Dating/Space for short,so myspace.com will work as a robber and a cheat to get these names back?
No Way!
Am I right?

Just because MySpace isn't suing them doesn't mean that they are not breaking laws and infringing on TMs. If you don't get caught, it does't mean that you're not guilty.
The trouble with MySpace TM domains (such as MySpaceLayouts.com etc.) is that there are just too many of them to be chased down.

"My" and "Space" are two generic keywords that cannot be TMed. However, as soon as you combine them together, they become a brand name, a TM.
