Hi all,

Hope you are all doing good.

I was working with one of my FB page and thought about how many Facebook pages I can create using a single Facebook account?

As I have lots of domains, out of which few will be developed websites soon. And I want to have a dedicated FB Page for each site and domain. But according to FB policy, I should be using a single FB account, right?

I did a little research and found that I can create multiple FB pages using a single account. So my questions are:

1. Is it safe to create FB pages for different websites? For websites/domains I intend to sell in the near future?
2. What if my FB account gets banned? Will that block all FB pages connected with that FB account?

Thanks,

If there is a limit, it should be in Facebook's "help" pages...

Right.

Sure - not a problem. I manage pages for several sites of my own + client sites.

Yes, unless you assign a co-administrator to them, in which case that account will retain ownership of the pages.
Best to just be careful not to get your account banned ;)!

Not sure how to do that. Any tips on how I can do that with my FB pages?

Thanks,

There's a place on the page settings where you can assign other people as managers and administrators. Don't remember exactly where offhand, try FB help. They need to be Facebook users and you may need their account email.

One more thing. So if I created five FB pages for my five different domains, is there anyway anyone can see my actual FB account (through these FB pages)? Just curious because I wouldn't want to show the actual FB account for all domains (due to its privacy). Makes sense?

If I were you I would only create one page for one domain so as to not confuse your fans and visitors. If they will want to search for you on Facebook - they will enter your domain name firstly in the search box and if they will find more then few options they will not know which one is a real and dedicated one.

I also plan to create a single FB Page for a each domain.

The thing I am not clear about is whether the audience who visits my FB page for EXAMPLEDOMAINONE.com can see other FB pages of my other domains I have created using a single FB account? Any thoughts on that please?

Thanks,

Oh I am facing the same thing. I have a few domains as well, but so far I didn't find the way on how my fans could see that I'm running more pages.
The only suggestion that I have here is to like all of your pages (then they might appear if a fan visits yours) and to simply promote those other websites on your page so as like writing posts with invitation to check out your other pages

Thanks for your response.

But my question was a bit different. I was asking if, for example, I create 10 FB pages using a single FB account, then is it possible that visitors of my FB pages (visiting any FB page I have created for 10 of my domains) can see the original FB Account of mine?

^ I do have FB pages as well. If you want other people to see your other pages, you can FEATURE them -- the Liked By This Page section/tab on the left will show your Featured pages. If you haven't explored the Settings on the top right of your FB landing page, best that you do. Try not to Like any other page , specially ones not yours so that your visitors don't see any other page but yours. I guess that's what Vincentas was trying to suggest?

Also, to assign other administrators, etc. go to Settings and find Page Roles on the left side bar.

About your personal FB account being seen on your pages (if that's your question), I don't think it will be seen unless you set it to be seen publicly. If I remember right, FB started letting folks create business pages for the privacy and probably 'obvious' reasons -- business accounts, etc.

All the best.

I know of people whop have set the account administrator with a second facebook account they have had forever and facebook blocked the account.

Probably brought the 2nd account across their radar. I share accounts with clients all the time, never had a problem.

Thanks mate, that's exactly what I was asking and was worried about, that whether it's safe that my FB pages visitors won't see my FB account; cool.

Cheers,

^Yea, I think it's not public by default but double check. If you don't know how, when you login your page, go to Settings then click 'Featured' (on left side bar, 7th tab down starting from 'General'). You'll see Page Owners (below Likes) and there's a button to Add Featured Page Owners which will make anyone you add to this publicly displayed on About section of your page and vice versa. So if you don't see anyone added, then no one's public.

Yeah that case both accounts same person unverifiable so gone pretty much. But the fan pages are active under other account they got access.

Is it true now that FB has limited setting of FB page personal URL/handle to one per personal account, so as to curb squatting?
