How many domains do you need to make parking worth it?

I know that last question I asked on here was regarding parking for a sizable domain portfolio - but that was for a friend...

My portfolio is substantially smaller, only between 20 and 30 domains. I plan on developing most, if not all of them in the future - but that takes time and wanted to earn a few bucks in the meantime... what do you think?

Even if you do want to buy PR links don't do it now. Google is currently already updating its PR or might have almost finished with it. The next PR update should be somewhere around Nov end -Dec. You could buy your PR link around that time. That should save you some money.

As to where to buy it from, there are many PR sale links here on NP and also quite a bit on DN Forum. Just run a few checks yourself before making sure they have valid PR's. I will PM you if I come across some good places to buy from.

I have one domain parked that makes me about 200-300$ a month steady for two months now

for a 20$ investment i think that is worth it.

I just need to do it 10x over now ;)

some domains will give you good income while most low domains will give you almost none. it depends more on the number and quality of the traffic they get. before buying any domain do your own research on it.
don't trust right away people or sites telling you a domain has good quality traffic, some would say anything to sell you domains. Do your own homework and look for its PR, incoming links, blacklisted?, wayback machine, ouverture, alexa, search engines results, etc.

Varon thanks for the tips - when you talk about developing your domains do you mean through Whypark ?

I wrote a post about an idea I had for improving pagerank on my blog - http://www.netmonetization.com/2007/08/one-tip-to-improve-page-rank.html - it seems to me a fairly good way of getting decent backlinks but I'd like to know what someone else thinks.

Thanks for liking my posts. :) I enjoy writing them too. So much that, I'm ignoring my own websites which desperately need me to write fresh articles for them...

Advaita, whypark can be a decent launch pad to start developing articles gaining backlinks, PR etc. But when your site starts doing extremely well, I think it would be time to graduate to a hosted site with more features. I mean an actual full fledged website. Here is my own example, I am now working on making my signature site into a full fledged website in the coming months. I feel that the site has potential and I need to add more content on different aspects of domain parking, backlinks etc.

I liked your article on building PR. Its well written and has some good pointers. :)
