How Many domain names do NP members have Reg'd with GoDaddy?

Hello everyone,

Just a quick poll. I'm wondering how many names NP members have registered with GoDaddy all together. I bet it's alot!

I like GoDaddy as a company for the most part. The prices are nice, i do love the GD control panel, and the customer service is generally pretty good too.

My only compaint is there lack of effort to help retrieve scamed and stolen domain names. I say we let them know how many names we all hold together and what a large customer we, as a group, are. They should listen to us and they should try to help to retrieve stolen DNs. Hopefully.

If you use GoDaddy as a registrar let us know what you think of them?

IMO, it would be nice if they could put a block on certain email addresses from receiving transfer emails. I know that one scammer has been using the same email address for two weeks now. If GoDaddy could block that email from recieving a DN transfer request, and also retrieve or put a freeze on any names already sent to that email, that would be a big help. Not a solution but one step.

If GoDaddy could be able to announce itself as scam-proof or scam-resistant, lol, imagine how much more of a great company they would become.

I sold or transferred to Enom ... all of my domains that resided at GoDaddy, IMHO.

70, but I am moving them away as they come up for re-registration. I just can't see why I should have to go through page after page of marketing upsell to get anything done.

Very good point, I too thought that was really annoying.. LOL

I found a box at the bottom of the first page that says "skip ads and continue to checkout" or something like that.. It takes you right to the final step. They need to make it more prominant though.

Used to have ~150 but have moved all but 3 (.mobi) to Fabulous because they don't support .mobi.

Actually I have zero domains with Godaddy.
I don't like them as they call me to use their web hosting services whenever I change my nameservers.

I have well into 4 figures. I think GoDaddy has the absolutely best control panel for bulk managing domains. I'm considering transferring my others there too.

Their onerous ToS related to changes in Registrant Info, incorrect whois, spamming/phishing don't affect me unduely.

I haven't had to ask them for the retrieval of scammed/stolen domains, but I'd consider them no worse than any other registrar.

they are a bit slow when changing name servers, unlocking domains etc but otherwise they are ok, I still have around 50-100 I think with them although most have been transfered to MyDomain.com now.

756 at the moment, to be exact. As stub says, they're the best for bulk changes and processing. I've never had a problem with them in the 2 years I've had domains with them.

Seriously, I would have to ask God for forgiveness if I ever got my hands near the neck of the person who designed the Godaddy domain management console!!!!

I have around 500 domains with them and they have the worst bulk domain management in the entire universe, how much I hate it is 'indescribable'... seriously. I really can not wait till I can afford to move my domains I have in that Godaddy hole to Moniker, I am not affiliated with Moniker

Yes I have contacted Godaddy about their horribly desinged domain management console, but they never do anything

I have around 80 there and I am moving all my names from other registrars to godaddy, to have them all in one place, I like godaddy's interface and customer support and prices, i am a happy customer

I think the managment console is easy to use and fast. I've never had any problems with that. I think the info usually updates quickly when I make changes and its easy to handle groups of names at one time. What is it that you dont like about it RareDN, just curious? The functionality, the layout, the speed?

If I were to rate GoDaddy on a 1-10 scale I would rate the following:

Domain Control Panel: 8.5
Customer Support Wait Time: 8
Customer Support Knowledge: 7
Prices, Coupons: 8
Backordering: 3.5
Fraud Prevention, Help: 4.5 (no better than any others really)
