How long do you wait to reply?

When you get a WHOIS email inquiring about one of your domains, how long do you wait to reply to it? I work at my computer and leave my email open all day, thus I usually immediately reply to emails as they come in. However I always feel like I'm looking desperate if I immediately reply to a purchase inquiry. So what is optimal? Should I wait a day or three?

lol, why would you look desperate if they contacted you? Wouldn't they be the desperate one's wanting your domain?

if you feel the need to wait then only wait a couple hours not a couple days. sometimes a company might have more than one possible name to use and you just own one of those. if they dont hear from you for awhile then they might go with their other choice.

Should I wait a day or three?

I would not wait a day. Write them back right away, they will lowball you anyway, and you will at least look professional and easy to contact.
