Has anyone purchased names through buydomains before? Any idea how flexible they are on pricing?

Any info would be appreciated, thanks.

Have you tried negiotating with them in the past without success? If so, was it on a particular name or have you tried with many names?

I can't count how many times I've seen Minimum Offer $250 so I make an offer for $x,xxx then get a response "Negotiations for this domain start at $6888" so I make another offer meeting them in the middle of my original offer and $6888 and get the same canned response from them.

Bah.

Bah.

I've noticed that a lot of their minimum prices are the same but the asking prices vary a great deal. I asked a sales rep about it and he said the minimum offer is just to weed out the people that are going to make offers like $10 or $20 for a name.

I read somewhere that they'll usually accept 75% of the posted price. I also remember reading that's it's best to call for negotiations. This is not from personal experience as I've never bought a name from them.
