How do you get html files onto the internet?

I have made some html files and i want to put them on the internet but I don't know how. I want it to be free with no ads and just my page. Can anybody help me?

You need a webhost. You can read about the details somewhere like wikipedia. Sometimes ISPs provide free hosting to their customers as part of their Internet service. You might check into that. Google offers services like "Google Sites" that may provide some hosting capabilities. In exchange for free hosting, such services generally will serve ads along with the site content.

you'll need web hosting as jagusa mentioned. this is where you will put those html files. your webhost will probably allow you to transfer/upload those files to the server using an interface online, or they will give you ftp access, in which case you'll need to download an ftp client/program to connect via ftp.

Use an FTP client, or an Online File Manger. You will need a domain and hosting first.
