Let's say I have http://www.domain.com.mx. How do I create
the .MX part?

Do you use a redirect?

Do you look for a registrar who registers such?

Any answers? Thanks.

You can't..

com.mx is just a subdomain of .mx (mexico)
http://www.nic.mx/

org.mx and net.mx does also exist.

Are you talking about applying for your own brand new extension (and not the ".MX", specifically)?

Yes, you look for a registrar who registers such.... it seems to like $75 a year though.

So you do not have domain.com.mx if you are asking this question I would think. You must mean, 'let's say I want ...'

Not just :$: but lots of :$: :$: :$: :$:

You can can however create as many subdomains as you want (or your host allows) from any domain you own...

As an example:
I own and use p7u.com, and it's easy to create casino.p7u.com, sex.p7u.com, betting.p7u.com etc. from your cPanel (or similar)..

Egad, yes, thanks for pointing out the error. D-:

Yes, let's say I have http://www.domain.com. How exactly do I add
the .mx after .com?

Again, you can't... :)

.mx is the top level domain (the same as .com )
com.mx is just a subdomain of .mx

Everyone can make subdomains on their domains, but not add anything in front of them..

^^ What Redleg said, IMHO! :tu:

PS. You could apply for .DAVE and have MX.DAVE, for example!
Be sure to bring your checkbook, as mentioned above. ;)

Right, you are only delegated the abilty to be able to make additional subdomains to the left of your name, nothing to the right.

So what you have to try and do is register example.com.mx if it is available.
another domain to register, same as example.com, and example.net would take two registrations.

I can see how you were confused between .com and .com.mx, but several ccTLDs use .com.something subdomains in their namespace, like .co.uk as a variation on the theme...
