How do people deal without issues on NamePros?

Hello, everyone! I have been wondering about how sales are carried out on NamePros since I have not seen a detailed information about the process. Why am I puzzled? I have not see any mention of the use of an escrow service, which I even think would be unrealistic given the ridiculously low prices I see on here. May I know how people are able to deal without issues? Any ideas, anyone? Thanks.

I think you have already answered your question! ‘ridiculously low prices’ – The majority of members here have their day jobs and they won’t allow their reputation to be ruined for a few quid.

I don’t think it’s 100% trouble free. From time to time members have disputes and we have seen many in the past banned due to their behaviour.

There is a section for high-priced domains. If you visit this section, I’m certain you will see members mentioning escrow.

usually members use paypal, and leave a rating based on the transactions,if for example in an auction a user fails to pay and the person holding the auction reports him to one of the admin, he is given a warning,an infraction and or banned depending upon the amount and other reasons mentioned in the rules section

Thanks, joshny. In other words, you transfer the domain and hope the other party pays, right? If yes, this may not be an issue for a $20 domain sale. How about when you are selling a domain name with higher price? Please explain more. Thanks.

Well it's pretty clear that a member with many reviews or that has been registered for many years can be " trusted ".

If you are so worried about being ripped of just do your business the way it makes you feel safe. You decide what amount you are willing to risk; above that just use escrow or agreed or ecop...

" May I know how people are able to deal without issues? Any ideas, anyone? Thanks. " Treat other people the way you want to be treated. Here is your answer.

It's as simple as that.

Thanks, Photonmymind. "Treat other people the way you want to be treated" is my philosophy of life. Just afraid some other people might not want to reciprocate.

Have never had any issues as far as money is concerned.

I found some of the highest paying clients from namepros. Who are not regular members over here nowadays but I still provide programming services to them.

There is no talk about any payment whatsoever for like years. Sometimes the bill goes upto 15,000 to 20,000 USD. Yet I am not worried and they are not worried at all.

In end all it takes me is to tell him that "Can he send me the payment whenever he gets time?" And it gets done without any dramas.

I have purchased domains too from here ranging from 1200 USD to 2000 USD or so. Everytime I would just send in the money in advance and the guy would just push the domain name into my godaddy account.

What I believe is that there are rarely any members who would do that. But if there are some then they get caught sooner or later. Most probably soon in almost all cases. :D

Payment should be received before transfer is done for any domain,
if there is a few bucks involved, escrow is the best way to go.

Most sellers AND buyers here have reputations that speak for themselves.
They take precautions, IE: New Member/Member Status, Trader Ratings etc...... ;)
