Just saw this post from efty saying they just hit a million names in their system

my question is how do you go from ~50k names in May 2017
https://twitter.com/eftycom/status/870159754399698945

to over 1 million in august?
https://www.domaininvesting.com/efty-hits-1-million-milestone/

whois data says 23k names on their name servers
http://whois.domaintools.com/eftydns.com

If you have a hypothetical 5,000 users that means every user would have had to load average of 200 names. We have data on hundreds of users with the average # of names per user under 50 names

@LarryDomain sorry you lost a lot of respect from me right now

guys: / girls:

a valid question
has not been answered

why do you turn this tread
into something ugly?

why is that?
I could be wrong, but I think @LarryDomain was being facetious . . .

I think Efty might be talking about the total domains on their platform. I think I have 1200+ myself there. I only have a few using their landing pages but I have all my names there as I like their service and its easy to use. Efty is awesome.

I've personally added 431 to efty recently to test against my own hosted sales pages, none use their nameservers.
Would I ever try toughdomains in it's current form=no

what I see in this thread is lot of bashing of @toughdomains
who asked a valid question
which to me stays un-answered

as the question was not how the numbers are counted
but how the sudden increase happend

and a lot of support for @efty
-no idea why-

by the way @efty counts my 847 domains or so as well
as I started to add domains into their system

I have never added any nameserver changes as far as I remember
as for me the system was not usable

so I think its at least a completely irrelevant number this 1 million
that should not be published for promotional purposes
if you don't want to provoke threads like this

like I would claim http://F1LTER.com manages over 1 mill domain names
- which is true today its database size: 1088123 dropping domain-
who cares????

@Doron Vermaat

https://onlinedomain.com/2017/08/28...g-pages-tweaks-lead-30-domain-name-inquiries/

this post quotes that efty has now a higher inquiry rate after making the Landing pages faster
( still quotes you have 1 mill domains )

it quotes that efty now has implemented a 404 redirect

really??????

did you seriously not having a 404 redirect before????????????????,

it says nothing about you compensate your members for losing traffic
based on 404 errors not resolving
and slow landing pages.

how about subdomains?
did you think of sub domains???
or are they going into 404 not found whatever , too

efty is now becoming professional
wow
after so many years

congrats
