How come NP get is right and SP get it SO wrong?

Don't know if you guys are following this thread over at SitePoint http://www.sitepoint.com/forums/showthread.php?t=333830&page=1&pp=25

It's amazing to me how they seem to get it so wrong and make such a drama out of moderating a board. I'm not saying it's easy, I'm sure it's not, but it's not like they're inventing a cure for cancer. Not only do they have the gaul to charge to post in their 'Market Place' but they can't even be consistent in their 'moderating'. It's appauling!

I must say the moderators here are awesome. You raise a concern, it gets addressed and the issue is resolved one way or the other, fine! That's the way it should be. Whenever I raise a concern at SP I'm lucky if it even gets addressed let alone get a response. In over a year there I've actually never got a response from a moderator other than the time I directly addressed Sarah with regards to another member blatantly ripping me and other members off.

I just wonder what makes the SP guys so 'busy' that they can't do the job they've either volunteered for or are getting paid for so hard to do.

Your considered thoughts would be appreciated on this matter.

I don't see what the big deal is about Sitepoint.
I never use that forum. There is absolutely no information there that I can't find on other forums, especially forums that don't bombard me with advertising.

Well the fact is some good sales go on over there but the moderation isn't the best. Too many 'sales' threads get bombared by kids and 'rubber neckers' with no intentions of buying at all. It detracts from the actuall 'selling' of the site as happened recently on my sales thread. I won't go into detail here but check the OP and you'll see my point.
