How can I use Google Search Console to look up keyword impression frequency?

Supposedly this is (partly) how Semrush gets their data. I go to https://search.google.com/search-console/welcome?utm_source=about-page and I see this:

I'm confused about what Google Search Console is. If I do this verification for one of my domains, am I then allowed to search any keyword I want? Or just those contained or relevant to my verified domain?
