How can I find advertisers?

I am building a professional website where I will list my Domain Names for sale...Domainers will also e-mail me their names to be listed on my site for free.

The only source of revenue will be advertisement.

My question is:

1. How can I find companies to advertise on my website as I do not want to use Google adsense or affiliate program?


Your suggestion is welcomed even if you say adsense or affiliate program advertisers are better.

The advertising model may not be the most profitable for a site like this.

Have you thought about something like 10% commission on the domains sold through your site?

However if you do wish to advertise, simply make a banner saying 'advertise here!'

You have to go out and look for advertisers. If your site is successful and gets traffic then advertisers will find you.

Eders idea is good. You might also want to consider Adbrite where you can quote your ad rates. If you get a good deal, run the ads or else just stick to selling domains for a commission. However, I don't see why you would leave out adsense. CPC for domain related ads is high. You may have visitors come in, not be interested in the domains for sale, and want to check out other sites. Thats where some adsense ads could make you some good dollars. Its better to make some money than nothing and not waste the visitor potential.
