advice Hostgator When adding a New domain, does it get hosted immediately? Or takes Days for login details?

When you purchase a new domain (from Godaddy say) and you want to host it via hostgator(unlimited domains plan)

and you go to the steps to add this fresh new domain to your hostgator account,


then how long does it take hostgator to become active with this new domain? (so you can start adding content
or even installing a WP blog onto it, Via a FTP )

Does this new domain hosting happen immediately, after you add it via hostgator?? or it takes days for hostgator to activate it, for them to email you, the login details? and confirm that the new domain is active? etc etc ?

The Main purpose for considering hosting with hostgator,
is to host 20+ WP blogs, (which will all on 20 separate domain names)


Should there be any concern from considering hostgator, interms of hostgator being sold to EIG ? ie, that affecting hostgators' performance ?

In other words, How long does it take, online, to for the Godaddy Domain to be Pointed to the Hostgator account? and Redy to use! ?

It should not take more than couple of minutes for hour time once you change the nameserver, now a days all the changes we have made seems to reflect instantly.

Yes if you read about EIG companies the major issue with them presently is support. They are not cheap yet support is not as expected. You need to read more reviews about them.. All the best.

The nameserver holds the ip adress
So if you just change that ip
Change should work immediately

But changing the domain of the nameserver
May take up to several days
To work throughout the internet

So its a good idea to have an external nameserver
Like cloudflare

It's called domain propagation. It's take from 24 hour to 48 Hour (in my experience only 2 to 4 hour).
