Apartments.mobi should do well too.

Here is the entire list so far (as per link on TDNAM's home page):

Signature Auction Names
1x.com
Apartments.mobi
BargainBuy.com
BeautyCounter.com
BestPhone.com
BestService.com
Bob.com
Campaign2008.com
CollegeFootball.mobi
Dentists.mobi
DietAids.com
Earl.com
Even.com
ForeignTravel.com
HDTVShop.com
Homes.mobi
HowToInvest.com
Maillist.com
Media.mobi
MobileSecurity.com
Moving.mobi
RoadWork.com
Smoked.com
SportUtility.com
TopBeaches.com
TravelUpdate.com
VirtualServer.com
WhyHybrid.com
YB.com

All six .mobis appear to be MTLD property:

Homes.mobi (Expiration date: 11-May-2008)
Dentists.mobi (Expiration date: 11-May-2008)
Moving.mobi (Expiration date: 11-May-2008)
Apartments.mobi (Expiration date: 11-May-2008)
Media.mobi (Expiration date: 11-May-2008)
CollegeFootball.mobi (Expiration date: 11-May-2008)

Although not enough is known about GoDaddy's new Signature Auctions yet, IMHO their first live auction should be a good one for .mobi.

What do you guys think?

Something is messed up with that list. Homes.mobi is listed on the upcoming sedo auction and in this new tdnam (GoDaddy) list. One list is clearly not accurate.

Good spot!

Plus รงa change...

Free.mobi was listed at both Sedo 1 and TRAFFIC.

Some good ones in there ... of course, the most important thing - and far more important than any eventual final auction prices - is that these get into the hands of Buyer's / Developers who will uniquely develop and promote them for use by those that are "on to go" (thus forming and adding to the super critical .MOBI "ecosystem")! :gl: :talk: :imho:

Just my two sense, and I will update these in the ongoing Buyer's List thread as well. :music:

Just wondering if you just cut and paste this into all of your posts? :)

No, that would be silly ... but I am a passionate fan of the developed "ecosystem"! :hearts: :imho:

Thanks for understanding.

Why would it be silly? You really could save yourself a lot of time that way :)

Interesting point.

The following piece of 'Jeff-bait' (I'm thinking of TMing the phrase) should make him come back and address it a bit quicker:

:...NEW Signature Auctions are one-day, online auctions featuring the most exclusive, high-value domains on the Web; names that are valued at $10,000 or more..."

For the avoidance of doubt, this is an excerpt from GoDaddy's promotional text (with my emphasis) available via GoDaddy.com or tdnam.com - home page, top center.

These auctions are great, but they are killing the short term aftermarket.
The continued selling at high prices of mobis should lift the value of most good mobis but NOTHING is selling.

Is everyone just spent out? and spending at sedo, trtaffic, godaddy, then back to sedo?

In the longterm good as all domains semm to be rising at exponential rate & if endusers get interested in your names you will have a lot of comparitives, but cant remember last time i saw a name sell om aftermarket.
Apart from a couple of private deals

This is a very good example of the Supply vs. demand imbalance at the Sedo Round I auctions, as I had forecasted humbly. Will this imbalance further exhibit itself with the soon forthcoming Traffic and Sedo II .MOBI auctions? That is the very key question we need to discuss here, in my view. :yell:
Just my two sense.

End users / developers and compelling DEVELOPMENT & PROMOTIONS - the critical "ecosystem" - are still the key! :gl:

Of course they are Arnie. And even if you were to say it in the strongest Terminator terms you can, it would still be an understatement.

And you just ruined my 'Jeff bait' you Borat! It was supposed to get him back to address both Neobodhi's point and mine. Guess if he did!

Posted in the other thread on this topic.

Yeah, I did think the heading of my thread might be a little too cheerful for some, but people who have been betting against mobi (or maintaining an 'underweight' position in their portfolios, which is a half-hearted way of doing the same thing) will have to learn to deal with it.

You may not like the positive sounding headline, but you have to admit this is the original and freshest thread.

Here is some proof for the latter: The list at GoDaddy just changed a few minutes ago:

Signature Auction Names
1x.com
Apartments.mobi
BargainBuy.com
BeautyCounter.com
BestPhone.com
BestService.com
Bob.com
Campaign2008.com
CollegeFootball.mobi
Dentists.mobi
DietAids.com
Earl.com
Even.com
ForeignTravel.com
Grapes.com
HDTVShop.com
Houses.mobi
HowToInvest.com
Maillist.com
Media.mobi
MobileSecurity.com
Moving.mobi
RoadWork.com
Smoked.com
SportUtility.com
TopBeaches.com
TravelUpdate.com
VirtualServer.com
WhyHybrid.com
YB.com

The new change is that houses.mobi replaces homes.mobi (discussion above explains why).

The other change - which actually happened yesterday - is the introduction of grapes.com (as in 'sour' ;). :hehe:

mobicheap, all he was doing is pointing out he had posted in a duplicate thread and then noticed this one.. basically adding his post here too.

take a deep breath.... you are developing too much of a natural namepros .mobi-section defense. ;)

You might be right mj, I thougt that too; briefly entertained the thought of apologizing for my harshness but then saw the phrase 'cooling off' again - from somebody who says he is a .mobi owner but doesn't say whether or not he also happens to have a - much bigger - position in the one extension that has been most severely affected by the introduction of .mobi.

If he is not underweight .mobi (apologies for the trading jargon), I have offered him a chance to correct me. In such a case I would duly apologize for presuming.

things are bound to fluctuate in the aftermarket... on one hand it is fair to say things are cooling off from the initial hype phase... but more importantly sales are maintaining a level of interest far longer and greater in price than most of the doubters originally thought..

it is easy for some people to perceive the market as cooling off when there are HUNDREDS of top tier .mobi's being released right now by the registry... this will only happen 1 time at this sort of volume.

good for the long term establishment of aftermartket prices and real cream-of-the-crop websites... a little bad for current aftermarket prices.

i.e. Its a buyers market now.

Of course it is.

As I've pointed out on a number of occasions, the first Sedo auction could easily have become the 'perfect storm' for .mobi.

It's a minor miracle that any aftermarket activity exists at all in the circumstances.

And speaking of miracles, let me misuse the words of a really wise man (they seem to be misused all the time anyway, so hopefully this occasion will pass unnoticed):
------------------
To Every Thing There is a Season
Ecclesiastes 3

To everything there is a season,
and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

A time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

A time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to break down, and a time to build up;

A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

A time to cast away stones,
and a time to gather stones together;
a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

A time to get, and a time to lose;
a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

A time to rend, and a time to sew;
a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

A time to love, and a time to hate;
a time of war, and a time of peace.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
------------------

IMHO, now is a time to buy.

I agree with those that have stated, rather obviously, the .MOBI aftermarket has generally cooled off IMHO. :guilty:

As I've stated, End users / developers and compelling DEVELOPMENT & PROMOTIONS of these premium domains - the critical "ecosystem" - are the key! :gl: :imho:
