The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Pretend you don't own any XR domains ie not speaking out of your own self interests and try to look at this as a neutral, I'm curious to know 'why' you think its a bad name?

I think Apple Reality would be a great name.

In my opinion XR Pro is a bad name. From a marketing perspective you need something simple and can be marketed out easy and Apple are usually great at that.

Having to explain what an abbreviation is (XR) whilst trying to sell product for $3000, for something that isn't an essential and consumers probably don't think they 'need' is not good marketing.

The ultimate aim to get VR/AR mainstream is not selling to the tech savvy, it's making people who don't know much about immersive tech buy one and making it part of their day to day life (like phones are), for that to happen, things need to be simplified.

Marketing 101 - keep things simple - Simple name and make it seem fun, not making heads spin or sending them to sleep, having to explain what XR is and then expecting people to then hand over $2k-$3k = game over before its even begun in my opinion.

I have no idea if they are going to use XR or not, and frankly even if they won't and their device has potential it will help XR as branding with the biggest denominator is the smart move.

Reality Pro cool name, Reality one also.
XRPro as well.

Apple talked about Metaverse being hard to explain so they stay away from stuff that they cant explain and that people might have different views on.

XR on the other hand is easy to explain
VR +AR is XR full spectrum that's it.
Was that hard? 😂

Apple Reality is being too monopolistic.
That make sense for a company like Facebook just like the switched to meta

Apple are the top dog, they don't need to use Apple Reality or even think in that direction.

You have your background and I have mine.

Let's see what happens going forward.

As you said in the past, no one has a crystal ball 🔮

Al I do is go after data, inquiries and sales.

And btw, the offers for xrporn are from a big company working on immersive porn and from the number 2 domain brokerage firm worldwide.

But yea maybe I can get the owner of arvrporn.com to agree for a trade. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Its hard to have a conversation with you, you speak with too much emotion and i don't think its emotion for the good of the tech, it's emotion for your own interests which is understandable in some ways (no one wants to lose money), but everyone here is in that position, we all have put money into different things, it's ok to have investments but talk objectively.

But you often do it in a dickish way, it's like you are saying 'F everyone else as long as I'm ok' and you regularly talk as if 'everyone else is wrong and I am right' but again you have been wrong on many things.

You said it yourself, no one has a crystal ball but then after saying that you belittle other peoples investments (VRAR) straight after.

Personally I'm not invested in VRAR+keywords in domains, but what happens if XR becomes nothing and VRAR goes on to have more relevance?

And whats all this no2 brokerage firm in the world? Do they know they are the number 2 brokerage firm in the world, do they accept that and call themselves that? You are talking rubbish.

Actually easy:
XR is for the tech savvy (of whom are not few, but also not that much).
That's why the OS is being called xrOS.
(tech-level).

The headset itself, and rumors will most probably be right, will be called
reality pro / reality one / something we don't think of...

As I said in a post before, up to my estimation, the initials AR/VR are a lot more prominent than XR.
(so they could end up being in usage in every descriptive article, blog post, etc.).

But hey, who knows...

Will be exciting tomorrow.

to say arvr has a chance to become something big is actually saying - "I have no idea in branding marketing and in general i have no idea in domains

But now in all seriousness, its going to be a great day for the XR industry if they are showing a device tomorrow whatever they will call it!

It will lift all boats (that makes sense) and to tell you the truth, I'm not sure they will even use XR tomorrow as a term for xros or anything else but obviously i think its a great term that will keep growing in the future.

Did not say that.

AR/VR is much more prominent, to - actually - anybody out there (in the mainstream), than XR...

prove me wrong.

All what my point was.

Mate, you said you prefer to own arvrporn (or was it vrarporn ? ) than xr

The argument ended the moment you said that.

Yes, said that, because your only reaction to my post was:

"You are missing a lot! work harder, I'm obviously not gonna do the job for you."

That, is not an argument.

I'm just trying to give tips here :) hard work is super important! one of the most important factors in life and of course in domain investing.
Digging deep, all the time.

So that is your whole basis for judging who the best brokerage companies are? What about companies who have their own Escrow services such as GoDaddy/Sedo do you know their numbers? How about all major deals done privately by lawyer/wire transfers/other assets and crypto?

Out curiosity does Escrow.com's list also include people who don't want to be included? Strange Miller is not on these lists - involved some major deals recent years (Home/Chat dot com).

I notice Brent is on these lists, Brent is not a broker, so if investors are included why is Dharmesh Shah not on the list who's possibly been involved in 9 figures in transactions (buying and selling) this past year?

As for help, whatever man. I've not seen you help anyone publicly on here, from what i can see your (so called) help is called 'invest in what ever i have invested in' ie: not for them, but your own interests to make your own investments stronger and I'm sure that is the case privately too.

Luckily I don't care about YOUR opinion but what's funny is again over the years we hear you say stuff about investors making other investors niches stronger.

News flash mate. Nothing on this forum can make my investments stronger or weaker 😂.

That’s great, I don’t care about your opinion either.

No you don’t, but you spam companies and people on social media/NamePros what people ‘should’ invest in and what they should call tech and most of what you say is not about what is good for the tech itself, it’s about what’s good for Elad and his investments, so you do ‘try’ (in your own way) to influence things.

Once again this is also what you call ‘helping people’.

Let it go? I’m not even on it to let it go.

I don’t care what you do, you carry on doing it, I don’t search for you on social media, but I do see you from time to time and I’m sure many people do while searching for VR/AR (if they do it often enough), people who search for immersive terms on social media regularly (like I do) it’s hard not to see your face comment sections of tweets saying something on the lines of “it’s XR” if they call it VR/AR or something that goes against your investments and the same on here on NamePros, if someone shares an investment they have recently made and it goes against something of yours, many times you will post a 😄or some other laughing emoji being a dick about it all, you being a hypocrite right now and in denial what you do ie:- your recent comments of “no one has a crystal ball” (shown your true colours again very next paragraph) and “wishing everyone luck” who are you trying to kid? Many people see what you are like on here.

1) You think you have a crystal ball, your username was even called that one point I believe and 2) you don’t wish everyone luck.

I’m simply pulling you up about what you do, you say you are ‘helping people’ I’m calling it out for what it is, only person you ‘trying’ to help is yourself.

I bought Golfxr back in 2020 in an expired auction. I believe it was the most $ I’d ever spent on an Xr name at the time. All my other Xr names had been handregs or close outs purchases. If not for thoughtful discussions on Xr that were facilitated by elad, Xrreality and others, I doubt I would have made that purchase. The first half of 2020 came with a lot of uncertainty with my day job and I was being very cautious with spending and had really dialed down on my investments.

Less than a year later, I sold it for 15 thousand. I can honestly say that that sale would not have happened if not for the Xr thread.

We all want our names to do well and we all (naturally) will promote the products that we have for sale. But when we truly believe in something, which I believe elad and others do, that promotion, when done honestly and responsibly, can help guide others in assembling their own portfolios.

Of course it is up to the individual to make the ever important decision of how/when to invest their money. The domaining experience for me has been chalked full of trial and error. But I truly do appreciate the conversation and information that is shared on this thread and others.

Impressive device. I'm not sure how popular it's going to be with a $3,499 price tag, but I'm really impressed by it, hopefully it doesn't become Apple's Google Glass and is the device to elevate immersive tech to the next level.

Interestingly no mention of XR or xrOS, the operating system for VisionPro is called VisionOS.
