Anyone else have an Amiga computer? I had the A1000 and A500 and loved them both!

MLAgazine has a detailed history of the Amiga, from its beginnings as the pipe dream of a frustrated Atari engineer to it's beginnings as a revolutionary gaming console, through the mini-collapse of the gamaing industry, and into the early days of the personal computer.

Check it out here.

I traded a Data General 150 lunchbox computer for my first Amiga 1000.. I never did anything serious with mine, but loved the games (Blood Money and Kid Gloves were my favorites)...

hmmm I always thought the startup screen with the hand telling you to insert a disc said Amiga, but I could be mistaken. So I guess yeah, I meant the Commodore 128 :) My friend had a 64 with the tape drive. Loading games always took forever. (well not forever - but close to forever :)) I remember thinking the 128 was such a step up in performance when I got it for christmas. Sensible Soccer & Kick Off 2 were my fav games at that time.

A month or so ago, I came across a slot expansion unit for a TI.. never even knew they'd produced one. It was only $5 but I had no use for it.

I also owned an Atari 800, Atari ST, Apple IIe, Timex Sinclair Color, Apple Lisa, etc.

I have a Mac Classic I bought at a thrift store for $4 in the closet right now....

Just in case anyone's interested, old red LED calculators and calculator watches are selling high on eBay.

Anyone else have a GE Vectrex game machine?
