Interesting :)

- no 'I wish there was a solution for web on mobile devices'
- IDN is 'next year' , still.

etc.

Always good to look back.

IDN was last year and before that, if you are not in you are probably too late. :)

I am 'in' as you say, however I must say the older extensions are still consistantly outperforming.

Everyones portfolio is different, but generally the message is based on the 'next' event eg. when MS started rollout of IE , then when it will hit penetration etc etc.

Long term view for sure on that one.

Interesting to see how everyone thought the PPC model would be replaced because of fraud... Looks like people are still saying that...

Looks to me like Sam made some pretty good predictions
1. .TV fad will die, except for the registration of those that are truly related to the Television Market

2. LLLL.com will RUN OUT!! Causing an immediate spike on prices.

3. LL , NN.bz fad will die out, tons dropping.

4. Godaddy will still have loopholes

5. .EU landrush will stink as all the premium or even half premium names are already regged by Tms. The other semi gems will be taken up by all the big players.

6. .CC will stay as Crap CCTLD

7. www.tv will be releasing at least 25% of their "premium names" down to regular price.

Give or take perhaps?

One post of genius in that thread:
http://www.namepros.com/996987-post29.html

1.Most will still think they own gold.
2.Most will continue to deny comparison sales in their ext.
3.Most will still own their domain(s) that they thought were gold, in 2007.
4.The realistic man, ungreedy and smart enought to dump for a nice profit will succeed.

It changed many times, but usually has to do with the ongoing $1.95-for-a-domain-if-you-buy-a-non-domain-product promotion (exclusions apply).
