Hello all, firstly thank you all very much for your posts, the knowledge gained is wonderful. A little bit about me, I am very much a newbie but will strive to learn each day. My aims are to buy a small number of .com names to start, I have a few in mind I think will be quite good. I intend to park, sell and a while later develop, although I will have to gain more knowledge on this point. A question someone may be able to help me with is, I notice "Whois.com" have a sale on dot coms this month, bearing in mind what I intend to do, are there any downsides to buying from them ie later costs that may hinder selling or parking etc. I have looked but cannot see a thread with this in it, apologies if I am asking either in the wrong place or indeed the wrong question. Any advice will be gratefully received.

Welcome to Namepros! Looks like the renewals are $9.98 at Whois.com. You can renew names cheaper at Godaddy with coupons codes. You can also register new names for .99 cents or $1.99 quit often with Godaddy coupon codes as well. Always check the last page in this thread for the latest codes...

Also, I think the majority of people have Godaddy accounts which makes for an easy push of domain names.

Hi Guys, thank you for the replies, I have had a look around all over the place,real good stuff. This maybe a really dumb question, I looked around on Go Daddy site and it said, "if the domain is registered with them you can only park it with them", is that correct? As I have been reading up on the best sites to park with and Go Daddy does not rate that high. Can anyone help or advise! Thank you in anticipation.
