Help with .IM problem

Hi. I have a problem.I registered banking.im yesterday. I received an email shortly afterwards telling me of the successful registration together with an attached invoice.

I have just received an email stating the following:

The domain name listed below has been withdrawn from service by the Isle of Man Government in accordance with the terms and conditions of the '.im' domain.

banking.im Rejected

If you wish to discuss the reason fhe domain has been withdrawn please contact [email protected]

Should a refund be due the nic.im administration team will be in touch in due course.

If you have not done so already, please make sure you are familiar with the Terms and Conditions associated with the '.im' domain - details are available at http://www.nic.im

I just can't understand how that can be done after a completed registration. Anyone got any ideas?

Just sent them an email to the address provided. Came back with a mail delivery failure. WHATS GOING ON!!!!!

it's showing as a gov domain

The Domain banking.im would be referred to the Isle of Man Government.

that's the message I got..looks like they have it reserved
maybe they have to approve that one

The way I understood their term was - Whilst registering if the domain showed referal then it would go to the Gov first - IF APPROVED - you would then pay for it.

If the Referal did not show whilst registering then it would be yours straight away.

Try logging into your account and see if there is anything there.

yesterday these domains appear to be free, and now they all are referred through .im gov.

banker
bankaccount
citybank

also another email addres is bounced back. [email protected]

i also have a question for them, because after 2 days my asp.im is still not resolved.

yeah I had my eye on bank.im and banking.im.

When it says referred, it won't let you register it unless you are associated with the gov I believe. Check your creditcard and see if they charged you. If so contact them and ask for a refund.

This is very interesting because two days ago I almost regged banking.im Both Bank.im and Banks.im were referred but banking.im was free and clear.


Also note, OffshoreBanking.im was available yesterday and now it is referred.

for whatever reasons they're doing this the contact for refunds (as I have also been burned) is Lauren Stewart email : [email protected] you'll need the domain name and last 4# of the CC used..I'm sure the invoice # would help

The rules say they can withdraw. I would expect a refund though.

Appeal against rejection of Domain Name Application
6.1 Applicants for a domain name that is rejected under the terms of section 5 of
the Rules may appeal stating the reasons why the name should be approved by
selecting the Appeal process available on the web site within 10 days of the
rejection notice.
6.2 Appeals will be considered by the Designated Official within 7 working days of
submission and notified to us on completion.
6.3 The Appeal decision will be sent to the email address specified in the Appeal by
us.
6.4 The decision by the Designated Official on an appeal will be final.
7. Domain Approval Process
7.1 All domains registered through the nic.im web site follow the following process:
• The domain is checked to ensure it is not already active;
• The domain is checked to ensure that it meets the criteria outlined in rule 4;
• The domain is checked to ensure it is not included on any of the restricted word
lists (see rule 5);
• The Domain is provisionally approved and entered onto the active name list. It is
then available for use subject to payment being received;
• All Domains referred to the Designated official will be considered within 2
working days.
8. Withdrawal of a Domain Name
8.1 The Isle of Man Government retains the right to withdraw any domain name
deemed to be undesirable within 2 (two) working days of application.
8.2 A domain name may be reviewed and may be withdrawn or suspended by the Isle of Man Government at any time if it is deemed that the name no longer is an acceptable domain name as defined within rule 11. Under this clause the name registrant may lodge a complaint via the IM DRP.
8.3 All domain names are reviewed by the Designated official and notification of a withdrawal will be sent to the email address specified at the time of application and to ourselves.
8.4 Any registration fees accepted at the time of registration for a domain
subsequently rejected by the Designated official will be refunded within 30 days of rejection.
8.5 Upon receipt of a domain name withdrawal notice we will deactivate the
domain name.
8.6 It is to be assumed that any domain name is approved unless notified
otherwise.

because i cannot see them, registered 05-07-2006 and still not viewable.

both my domains are accepted, asp.im and php.im, but it seems like i cannot do anything whit them.


please any help if you know what i am doing wrong.

Your nameservers are set wrong.

Same thing happened to me with insurance.im

And the email address they give for you to complain doesnt work...lol

You say you bought forwarding, do they not allow you to simple change the dns to sedoparking.com?

You can change the dns without paying any extra - just make sure you set them both and it should work ok - once set it seems like it takes a good two days or so to resolve.
