Help urgently required with DNS problem

My hosting gives me my own Name Server.

Originally I set up a name server using the domain ozmazing.com.au. I had problems with the registrar of that so I registered a new name server using aussievalue.com. I don't know what my hosting people had to do if anything for this to be set up. I just sent them an email and they said to go ahead and register it.
Consequently aussievalue.com is registered with two child name servers NS1.aussievalue.com and NS2.aussievalue.com and all my domains use these as their name servers. This includes the domain aussievalue.com itself.

Recently, as I wasn't using the old domain ozmazing.com.au I didn't renew the registration. All of a sudden, all my domains stop being resolved. When I try to get a page using Mozilla, it says that it can't find ozmazing.com.au. I don't understand why it should be trying to get ozmazing.com.au???

I asked my hosting people to delete the ozmazing.com.au name server on their host they gave the following reply

"Registration of name servers is only require you to unregister them at your domain registration account. For our server you can use any resolved domain as name server"

Can anybody explain to me why it should be trying to find ozmazing.com.au Some domains that I am having this problem on include JYPES.COM, Zexie.com and Herman-Pekel.com.

More importantly, can anybody tell me how to fix this problem

Many thanks

Ken

First of all your nameserver registration does not look right.

You have the following:
ns1.aussievalue.com. [63.247.92.43 66.235.161.87] [TTL=172800] [US]
ns2.aussievalue.com. [66.235.161.88 72.9.231.13] [TTL=172800] [US]

Looking at http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/traversal.ch?domain=zexie.com&type=A the 66.235.161.87 and 66.235.161.88 IPs are what should be assigned to ns1 and ns2 respectfully. You need to clear that up with your registrar as the additional IPs could be causing you some issues.

Looking at http://www.dnsreport.com/tools/dnsreport.ch?domain=zexie.com the zone files on your name servers are not in synch. It appears the slave is not pulling updated records from your master zone file.

Next the domain is resolving to 63.247.92.43 which I am assuming is your old domain location for ozmazing.com.au as this is not in the same IP allocation as the 66.232.161 IPs. Arin shows that the 66.235.161/24 is assigned to HopOne internet while the 69.247.92/24 is assigned to comcast. As the transversal above is returning the comcase IP as pulled from your nameserver I would start by looking at your dns zone files on 66.235.161.87 and 88 and making sure the A record is pointing to the correct IP and not the comcast one.
