Help Selling Domain Name

Hello everyone, I am new to domain flipping and need some help . Recently, I bought wersal.net domain name and posted it on flippa for selling but i haven't received a single bid. I even dropped down the bidding price to $1 but it doesn't work. I don't know where i went wrong in buy this domain. Can someone tell me what i have done wrong and what metrics should i hold on to buy a domain. Also, I noticed other domain listings have Premium Public Auction written under domain name/age and mine listing shows only Public Auction. I don't know why so. I set my reserve price to $199. I am completely confused please help me!

Welcome to NP.
But what does wersal mean ? Is that a common abbreviation or something ? There is a market for 'meaningless' domains like brandables but I don't think it this one qualifies.
It's not even .com.
They are tens of millions of domain for sale right now, it's not like this domain is special really.
Selling domains is more difficult than people think. I would say, acquire domains that are more desirable and the odds of a sale will increase.

Hi Kate! Thanks for your response. I got your point. So I should choose some meaningful domains and prefer .com tld. Does it means my investment has gone? What can I do now with this domain?

Also can you please share with me how can I learn more about domain flipping?

Welcome to NP!

It looks like the .info is developed on this name. So a company liked it enough to use it as their brand. Doesn't mean they will want to purchase your .net though.
If they wanted another ext. they would probably try to purchase the .com if available or their cctld if avalible.

Made up words are tricky. Make sure to do a TM search for the name before you purchase. I'm not a lawyer so contact one if you need further information.

You definitely picked the right place to learn. Read throughout the forum and start in the beginer section.

As said above selling domain names is harder than what people think. It definitely is not a get rich quick deal.

You can not register just ANY domain and to expect someone would want to buy it from you with premium. While they could just freely go and register an equal name themselves.

It's like you go to a store and buy a carton of milk for for example $1 and then go outside and offer this carton of milk to strangers for $100. Or for $1.1, whatever. Or even for $0.1, doesn't matter. They can just go inside and buy a totally equal carton of milk themselves.

You should offer them something unique, something they could not just go and register themselves.

Just like in any business, you start with market research. What demand is there. What people and businesses need and what is in a supply shortage.

you can posted your domain name in other domain and just try it what is the result for otheer domain any one can try to bid your domain. you can just posted your domain name in more than domain just like marketing. then find the problem of that.
