Domain seller novice here, have a question that I can't seem to find any clarity anywhere.
I have many new premium GTLDs (.rentals, .agency, .supplies, .repair etc.) I want to sell, registered at ENOM, and am confused about the expiration dates and renewal process after a sales transaction is completed.
If I sale a domain with a renewal fee of $250 which expires on let's say Nov. 20th, and I sell it to the buyer for $500 or with the completed transaction on Nov. 15th (5 days before the expiration), will the buyer have to pay the additional $250 on top of the $500 by Nov. 20th or will the buyer get a 1-year expiration date extension from the date of transfer or sale? Have no idea here as I've never sold a domain before.
Also, can you transfer these new premium GTLDs easily out of ENOM into another registrar. Heard somewhere people on ENOM are having trouble transferring these new GTLD premium domains out of ENOM; however they are able to push these to new owners within the registrar.
Thanks, any help would be appreciated as I need this information for the sale listing details. Just in case the buyer has to pay the renewal so close to the sale price.
