Help Proxy Sites Needing Hosting Guidance

I'm looking for help/guidance for 3 cgiproxy based proxy sites and their hosting requirements.

I've decided that it's time to bite the bullet and go with a dedicated server. I'm looking for a managing company so they can manage it for me and I'm also looking for reviews or suggestions on which dedicated server company to go with.

Since I'm new at the dedicated server scene I really need some input on what kinda specs I should be looking for so that all 3 sites can run smoothly. The sites, I was told recently on my current host, that the sites are hogging about 90% of the cpu. (Don't ask me what the specs are on their servers 'cause I have no idea, plus it's shared). Since February 19 the sites have used 9.12 meg of bandwith but the sites where suspended twice for 12 hours periods.

I would really appreciate some help with this, especially with the specs I should be looking at. I need to move these sites and get them up and running again a.s.a.p.

Judging by the bandwidth and CPU usage, i would get either a 512mb vps or a low end managed server...I would recommend you use liquidweb.com - you cant fault them.

Alternatively, if you can manage your own server, get yourself a $69 server from layeredtech.com

it depends on your traffic... I hosted a proxy site that was getting close to 900 uniques a day, and it crashed the dual p4 3.0ghz, 2gb ram server it was on...
