Help on "pending-delete" status

I see a domain in "pending-delete" status since April 12, 2009.

Isnt that the domain should be deleted in 5 days, which is today?

Also is there any site which offers free domain monitoring/alerts on domain status change.

I used to have some free credits in Godaddy but it seems now they have taken that off.
