Hi,

I need some assistance. I don´t intend to make huge sales because I'm starting small and hand registering some domains I can sell for low/medium $xxx

I did some keyword research regarding search volume, or extensions taken, or keywords, and Google exact results, and I chose to hand register the following domains. Do you believe that If I price them in the $100-$350 range I might be able to find a buyer?

CampervanForRent.com
CarDealersInUsa.com
DroneGpsTracker.com
HouseRenovated.com
LipoLaserReviews.com
RentMarina.com
RentPalmBay.com
VentaDrones.com
HomeDecoratorsCoupon.com
BuyBrownie.com
RenovatedKitchens.com

Thanks!

Well... People don't usually buy/order renovated kitchens, they order a service to get their kitchen renovated.

But actually some of those have some search volume, so you have a chance... But a better chance with these you will have if develop them. Best luck ))

My advice is read more, buy less. This forum is great for beginning domainers (which we all were at some point), but if you don't read and learn it's worthless. Consider all of the money you spent on the domains above an "understanding" fee.

Thanks guys! The best way to learn is to get to observe how people who have spent years in the industry, like you, might think or might see something, probably in a different way I do. I really appreciate your tips since it's the only I will really find a spot within such a crowded industry (and with much more supply than demand, from what I've been observing). Hope I will be able to learn a lot. It really scares me to "buy" an already registered domain with the intent of reselling it, at least until I get to read more about valuable domains and how to spot good deals!

Thanks again!

Hi! I just registered one more, after reading, and sorting through keywords. I found one available domain that might have some potential for selling to end user. The domain is FoodGiftSets.com
What's your opinion? Is it getting better?

Something I learned is that emds are good for traffic if developed. Otherwise you might consider one word brandables, catchy two word brandables, or domains that are aged.

Watch carefully what sells here and on other sites.. Over time you should develop a knack for it.. Youre definitely on the right track with your evaluations.

Thanks again! My question is: I know domains no longer have the same function they used to years ago...they don't help too much for SEO and traffic purposes, but is it possible they are considered a commodity? Is it possible that generic words domains with some value might be of interest to some investors as an asset, the same way that other investors buy properties and art? Thanks!

Perhaps. But I have found that there are domain investors, and there are end users. Domain investors buy and sell "liquid" domains. End users tend to buy domains based on need or attraction. You will do best if you understand the types of domains each of those two buyers are interested in.

There are investors that only invest in generic words. But they are very selective. Mostly single, usable, dictionary words. And almost exclusively dot com.
