Just need some help in regarsd to takeaway/takeout food

I just need some help from people in the US and UK

TakeAway or TakeOut!!!!!!!!!!


I understand both terms are used, which is more popular in which country.


I would like to know if TakeAway is used in the US, is TakeOut used at all?? (UK as well)

Thanks for that Greg, I notice its often written with a hyphen as well, i presume its more popular like this "Take Out", not "Take-Out"

UK uses take away most often.
US uses take out most often.

Brits understand take out and accept it as American usage.
Yanks get it when they hear take away, but it is not as common and not heard as much.

I considered takeout.tel but went for fastfood.tel instead - slightly broader term, more searches, and more universal.

Didn't get that particular one, but I got some other great names so I'm not complaining.
