Hello, newbie, with questions

First of all, I must say there is an awful lot of good info presented here, by some nice folks! Thanks, already! I've learned a lot just by reading several posts.

First question: When selling or transferring an expired or new domain name, what exact info needs to be presented in the transaction? On my receipt, for example, I don't really see anything of importance that stands out other than the name!

2nd question: When buying/registering a name....isn't it better to use an email address other than the one connected to paypal or your private pc? To safeguard against piracy?

3rd question: Have any of you checked out: expiredtraffic.com? I find the info there intriguing and I am considering joining. Have any one of you had experience with them?

1.) If depends on the Registrar. Most registrars allow a "push" to another account. Generally you will need the receiving parties account # and email.
If you are transferring the domain to another registrar you will need to unlock the domain and provide the other party with an Auth code.

2.) IMO you are better off using an email which is harder to hack meaning a non free mail service.

Also, is it better to sell thru Sedo or Moniker or Escrow.com, so that THEY can safeguard the transaction? I've been hacked before, and I am very wary of PAYPAL!

For any larger transaction I would use any type of Escrow. Escrow.com, Sedo, Moniker are a few options. Personally I prefer Escrow.com
