Hello from North Carolina - ready to learn all about the Domain World

I have been selling residential real estate for over 40 years and am looking to pivot into domain investing and flipping. Over the years I also sold 800+ Ebay auctions (as an hobby). I realize those two skill sets might help me with Domain sales when I came across a Domainsherpa podcast 2 weeks ago. I became fascinated with the flipping stories and signed up for the Discount Domain Club at Godaddy on Wednesday. In the module today there was a link to here and so here I am. I look forward to learning and growing in this new chapter of my life. So hello and thanks for offering this space to a newbie!

There is sooooo much to learn so take lots of time to read and learn here. This is a marathon type investment...don't get 'starstruck' by all the fluff posts you come across in social media...odds are they are selling something.

You will find people here helpful and sometimes brutally honest...put on thick skin if you ask about a certain name. Careful when doing research on/for a name. Many of those programs are run by investors that might can view all the activity...ingenious, in a way (think Dr. Evil).

Invest SLOWLY and choose confidants carefully. Best of luck to you.

(btw, playing golf on a course just outside Charlotte today...Myrtle Beach on Sunday if my arm holds up)
