I think this name is along the same lines of Coffee.Club

Curious to hear other opinions on the value and the intrinsic value

Update : Close to one hundred people view this one posting everyday ... It's insane ! My intelligent responses are on page 10 & 11 but for the first 5 or 6 pages I was defending my investment for anybody who maybe curious ...

Slight derail// but is comments like this really necessary? Come on respect your fellow NP members, comments like this is out of line IMO. I could get on your level but I won't...

Nobody makes a 10K offer on a domain registered two days ago.
Not true, reggd a name and received an inquiry a day after. I would say everyone needs to see what happens when .twitter, .tweet, and .youtube comes out

Another comedian... Cheap jokes
... you claimed you've got $10k offer. didnt you? oh, that wasnt an offer but just a fellow appraisal - "in china it would be a $10k name"... so why HeartSurgery not even taken in .cn, for reg fee?

...what a clown

Jesus what's with all the comedians ? Lmao. You're telling me Autism.Rocks can sell for 100K and Heart.Surgery can't sell for 100K or what about Tube.Webcam which sold for $175,000.
As always, you try to makes rules out of exceptions. This won't work. The odds of making a sale are always extremely remote in new extensions, unless you are the registry. Of course, anything can happen but you're playing lottery.

Me too. But not 10K. More like 2K, and it was because the guy had missed the drop.

It is becoming a trend now that those heavily vested in new gtlds are really defensive and will attack aggressively anyone who'd question their beloved domain or gtld...

Need.Surgery is available for only 89.99. Even Eye.surgery is available,etc....

I will sell US.Directory for $100.00, and the renewal is only $139. I think US.Directory has more potential than heart.surgery. And it's $99,900.00 cheaper on the asking price. :D

Kudos. I don't think its wrong for you to advertise your domain here. I think if you are patient you'll get your asking.

Would you not be defensive if you had spent $100,000 in a year on GTLDs and people tell you there worth REG fee. Lol. In the end no one really knows what it is worth but I'll tell you what the medical industry is the biggest industry in the United states of not in the world. Billions upon billions of dollars are spent on surgeries and vaccines and research every single year. Buying a domin like this is like a heart surgeon adding a second Audi R8 to his collection.

oh, wow, eye.surgery renewal 4K/year.
BlahBlah.surgery 42/year though.

yes, medical industry is huge. However, decision makers there could not care less about their domain.
so if heart.surgery is 4K/year, at 5% discounting that is wiping out 80,000$ out of the value of the domain right there in renewal cost present value.
So he can go to CityHeartSurgery.com for example at reg fee or 1K$ and avoid that

What you guys are not getting... And I'll clear it up...

Eye surgery is being replaced by a huge factor of Lasik. Laser Eye Surgery is a costly surgery and the choice between contacts and glasses and laser eye surgery which some people are scared of... That's three options to choose from. With Heart Surgery there is only ONE !!! If you need it you need it ... Nothing else you can do

Again the price for renewal is not 4K. It's 499 USD which is a great deal

General practitioners don't perform heart surgery, so they won't buy it. Heart surgery is only done in hospitals, and hospitals buy domains after their hospital name. I'm still not sure what part of the medical industry would buy it. It would take a hospital that performs heart.surgeries, and a hospital wouldn't buy a name of a "medical procedure". So setting everything else aside, who would buy it for what purpose?

It sounds good though, but you have to think of an EXACT purpose that someone would buy it for. It would have to be an informational type of website specifically for heart surgery, but who would do that?

I still say list it at auction with a $500 reserve and go for an unaware buyer.

Sorry about the appraisal!

ok, at 499 it might be ok for someone. All you need is one client, right? )
by the way, 8.surgery is available at $249/yr ) A chinese doctor might pay up

8.surgery for a Chinese buyer actually isn't a bad idea. I won't buy gTLD's, but that's one of the better ones.

Although, if they wanted it, they would have already bought it.

These have already been around for a year.

Alright I just felt like you were attacking me especially with the replies related to the XYZ Thread... I know this name takes money to develop but if the right person comes along and chooses to gamble then the investment could be worth far more the cost of the name; the renewal is $499 a year for heart surgery. Eye.surgery is 4000 euro a year. You compare the two and see that heart surgery is more keyword popular then the eye. Offer of 10K was received and I declined as I truly do believe this name in 5-10 years could be worth 100 times that amount. Health care is a crucial industry and the fact the United HealthCare bought Brain.Surgery and United.Healthcare proves my point. BrainLab was the seller if you want to look that evidence up... And yes you're against me when saying I can't reciece 5 figures for a name in which I have already received. To a heart surgeon it's nothing. And someone who knows that's Will step forward in time.
I'm not expert on this, but this two words are tailored to each other. Making it more
special than just regular name in this area. In this regard, it is more of specializing; making it more valuable.

Say that about the hospital United healthcare who bought Brain.Surgery :)

Alessandro lol, you're so full of crud, dude. Look at the WHO IS. It was bought for reg fee just 3 months ago by a guy who owns brainlab.com. He didn't even put a site on it.
