Estibot Value on HeartSurgery.com is $71,000

I think this name is along the same lines of Coffee.Club

Curious to hear other opinions on the value and the intrinsic value

Update : Close to one hundred people view this one posting everyday ... It's insane ! My intelligent responses are on page 10 & 11 but for the first 5 or 6 pages I was defending my investment for anybody who maybe curious ...

And what is the renewal for heart.surgery, that will decide if the name is worth it not??

I think you would have flipped it if you did

Like I've said for the tenth time; $499/YR.
Which is steak for this name ! And I'll tell you all another thing ... If the name ain't premium then why would any of you click on my thread. Go through all the Make Me an Offer threads and there isn't but maybe 10 that have this many replies. Curiosity sparks interest and interest sparks reward !!! And you're wrong ! I don't need 10K to pay my rent. I need 100K to keep me in the game ! Lol ;) but nice try

It's a great name and easily worth xx,xxx to an interested buyer. Now whether it's low, mid or high xx,xxx time will tell.

Donuts is one of the few that doesn't hold back great domains to resale themselves, unlike Club, Top and others, so what if it was grabbed a couple days ago. Many domainers are not in a position to buy a domain with this type renewal therefore it was there for the taking.

Thank you Mad. I know you're one of the few that really believes in the GTLD market and when it's all said and done and when these domains sky rocket it will be us few that makes all the money !

Well, I'll call BS on the 10k offer, lol.

I own US.Directory and I'll sell it for $150.00 right now if anyone is interested. The guy selling USA.Directory is asking 100k.

Notice the difference ... And no I am not lying. 10K isn't really a whole lot for a name of this aptitude in my opinion. US.Directory is an fair name but again where is there money to be made ??? Percentage off phone calls or marketing ??? The money is here in the fact that anyone who wants heart surgery needs heart surgery !!! Sell your domain on Sedo. youll probably get more action. I can understand .Surgery is more difficult to sell for the six figures because no one understands the potential yet but as history has showed; the more specific the more money. Plain and simple.

Seriously, thats insane, when you add that up and think of the nice .COM you could buy

You cannot get a premium name in .surgery or any other new extension

But have a look why most are clicking on the thread?? Its to try and tell you drop names like this, especially at $500 a year renewal fee...maybe its to try and save you some money, but you really need accept when people give you domaining advice, every time you dont like an appraisal, you just start arguing with everyone and telling them they are wrong

Its only really mad409 and jedaprin that are massaging your ego convincing you that youre on the right track, we see this all the time with new extensions and they all end up the same way, (.mobi, .me, .co plus the hundreds of others) I cant understand how you cant see the pattern and for some reason think "this time it will be different"

I assure you in 2 years most of these new extension threads will be dead or almost dead and all your names will have expired

it has nothing to do with Ego. Even I agree with Schwartz that only ten GTLDs will survive in the next five or ten years. I am not arguing with any ones opinions ... and thats right there opinions !!! I am just saying if a gold block is covered in @#$% it is still a gold block covered by the @#$% of people who knock down GTLD investors and users, plain and simple once again ....

you're right with a renewal like that I could buy a COM and guess what I own ten or twenty COMS but my biggest portfolio of investments is not in what people already invest in but in what they will invest in when the time is right !

Okay op, tell us how much we should value your name we will do that. Meanwhile, let me make you happy.. The name is worth 1m Dollars :)

Thanks for your modesty. 100K is the asking and if you don't have that to throw to a domain name then there is nothing more to talk about. Enjoy the day

Was offered 10K in cash. A gentleman from China was heavily interested.
are you sure that gentleman was from China? May be he was from Zimbabwe.. 10k Zimbabwen dollars is fine. :)

As I stated, eye.surgery is a MUCH more commercial name (which is why it's priced at 4K a year vs 500). Heart surgery is not really an elective procedure and the cash roundabout is predominantly managed by hospitals, doctors and hospitals all through relationships that are managed outside of commercial avenues.

I don't see anyone paying you much for it especially when a decent comparable is heartvalvesurgery.com which is a business around a story rather than being directly related to the op itself. Give that heartsurgery.com is a parked page you have to wonder what kind of offer has been made in the past. If your name is worth $100K then what value the .com? And if money is so available, where's that big offer prying it out of the hands of the owner there? What about the .net? Can only presume nothing major has been forthcoming to them.

Could you make money? Sure. Will you make what you hope? No. Will you spend $1500 finding out? Depends on how brave you are.

I'll offer you $50,000 for it right now. You'll never see the money and I'll never have the domain... but it's an offer ;)

There was a reason I asked if you had checked renewals in the other thread and the evaluation from Giles and Kate kind of hint at that....

just to make it clear for me please since im kinda slow of a person..

the name was avail a couple of days back with $500 regfee/renewal tag on it. right? it had been avail since the tld went live. no one wanted it. then you regged it which made it worth $100k+ up from $500 in a matter of minutes. right?
then in two days after you regged it there came $10,000 offer from "a geniune chinese gentleman heavily investing in domains". and then another one at $8,000 from another genuine gentleman of unknown nationality. is that the correct timeline?

thanks in advance

It's possible the name was on the reserved list, many reserved names released in the past four weeks.

This is an interesting one.. From a consumer perspective though, I would never go to a doctor who used heart.surgery as his website. I want a hospital's website that is there for information and not based on SEO.

yep. Accept the name was dropped by someone who was not patient enough. I was lucky I suppose. The offers are nice but don't justify the worth of the heart surgery market ...

but i actually market domains on a daily basis and i made it clear in other threads that this premium domain was for sale. just because i grabbed it for 500 doesn't make it a 100,000 name ... lol ... The value is right in the essence of the industry i am representing and why go for heartvalvesurgery.com ??? that sounds downright FUGLY.

the way i see it there are two reasons to look up heart surgery: because you need heart surgery or because you want to learn more about heart surgeries. in both scenarios you probably won't visit a website with a gTLD that 99.99% of the world has never heard of, especially considering the topic.

it is a great domain nonetheless considering the keyword, i just don't believe it is marketable for its topic. if i had it, i would sell for the best offer i have received so far and move on. best of luck

exactly ! but when you have different extensions changing the market by pairing up with COM and you realize a new generation is being born into a technological world and you take into fact that humans are lazy?! you think everyone is going to keep typing an extension?! Why, because COM and NET and ORG are worth thousands and even millions to us but to the consumer of the internet world, they mean nothing !!! Most people don't know the domain world or the internet market at all... ask ten people what HTTP and seven out of ten will answer incorrectly. thats our society and generation. Why not just type what you need and then boom ! you're there ! what if the two seconds its takes to type COM are the two seconds you really need ? Lol, a little dramatic but think about that ! and also this Domain is not to be a specific business site, it is to be rerouted by a professional with a professional goal ! if done correctly, well just think of the possibilities ? you know how much a heart surgeon pays for marketing or even an average clinic ? Just imagine marketing and advertising the information for every "paying" heart Surgeon in the United States ! $300 a month times just ten thousand, not sure if you have that many. well my friend thats $3,000,000 USD a month ! so who ever buys this for the 100K think about that notion ...
