Hello,

I was wondering if the NamePros community can appraise my health related domain name.

The Domain name is

HealthRuns.com

There is the domain without the s for sale also> Do you think it will affect my sale in anyway?

HealthRuns.com = pretty much worthless, it's an awkward sounding name with virtually no search traffic
DietJournal.info = maybe low $xx, but the .info kinda kills it
BodyMuscle.info = reg fee
NutritionBenefits.info = reg fee, not to mention you passed over the .net and .org to reg the .info
YogaBenefits.info = reg fee (maybe $xx to the right end user, but it's going to be hard to find one)
MentalHealthTips.info = if the .net is available, why would you go for .info?
PregnancyAid.info = reg fee (awkward sounding)
DiabetesJournel.info = misspelled, so worthless
AcnePrevnention.info = misspelled, so worthless

As for those last two misspellings, all of the major TLDs (.com, .net, and .org) are available, so why would you ever go for .info on those? Even the .com would be pretty much worthless with those misspellings, but seriously, go with the .com, or even the .net or .org, before you register the .info. You have much to learn, and might benefit from spending some time in the Domain Newbies forum before you think about registering anything else.

hrethel, notwithstanding the names apraised above, would you say that info is on the way up or down?

He has registered .info because it's cheap. Easy ;)

All the domains worth $0. IMHO. Only DietJournal.info has some value, in the low-mid $xx range.

I would say that .info domains have to be extremely well-tailored to the keyword(s) and the TLD that it just sounds natural. The keyword(s) also have to be searched a large number of times per month as well. Otherwise, I pretty much see .info going downhill from here. It hasn't caught that much traction on the end-user side (when was the last time you saw a business use a .info domain?), and most Internet users don't even know the TLD exists. Therefore, it only works on domains that you can get a lot of search traffic on, which doesn't depend on typing in the domain.

A lot of the traction that .info has comes from the fact that it's the cheapest TLD that you can get today. If rates are raised, it's going to become much less popular, and people are going to be stuck with upcoming renewals that aren't worth the higher fee. Overall, the extremely low fee is attractive now, but that's going to change one day, and the market's going to go south.

Thanks for the info. Rep added. BTW, what do you consider to be a large monthly figure for searches?

With this TLD, I'd say probably at least 20,000 minimum exact searches on Google, with more than that being a strong asset. At the low end of that range, you might make back your reg fee at this price; in the future, you're going to need probably in the high tens of thousands to make it back if the reg fees go up.
