He Can Be Trusted At All Times

Psa. 62:8 Trust in Him at all times, you people. Pour out your heart before Him. God is a refuge for us. (World English Bible version)

Unlike people or arms of flesh you can't trust when you needed badly, God is different from all humans, and He can be trusted at all times, that means the good, bad, worst, in your happiest and loneliest times of your life. He's indeed a worthy friend to be trusted with all your life and what you have and you can pour (show whole affection/emotion) to Him without fear of being exploited. God is indeed a good help for all of us.

I just want to share my thoughts on this Bible verse and if Admins permit me I will post one thread a day on this forum to give refreshment and encouragement to all members of the community.

btw Im maintaining a free mailing list called Devotionals Mailing List sponsored by topica.com ([email protected]) and Im willing to be a part of your daily life by subscribing to this thru email: [email protected]

Isn't it handier to just open 1 bible topic instead of new topics per (ehm, is this is psalm or a passage ... ??). I have nothing against christianity or any religion (I have no religion myself, but have friends in both christian, muslim and jewish circles) and respect anyone's believes, but why not open 1 bible topic and put all comments in there? Please don't take this as provocating as this is not at all my intention, I just think several topics about this subject may not appeal to many other forumers. I guess I am not the only atheist or non-christian here ... and for christian forum members 1 big topic that is frequently updated with new passages may be handier to keep track of.

But that said, I respect your believes so please don't see this as any negatively intended comment. I would just suggest to create 1 bible topic as this is handier than several topics spread around I think. But feel free to ignore my suggestion if you think this way is better.

PS: as I guess people of christian faith do celebrate the holiday, I wish you a happy Valentine's Day.

Don't get me wrong, I find religion very interesting (even though I have no god that I believe in - as I said, I do respect everyone's faith) so I was not insinuating that you should stop with these posts. I just thought 1 general bible topic may be handier to keep track of than a seperate topic per psalm.

But I guess you decide this best, you know a lot more about this subject than me, so who am I to comment? It was a suggestion, nothing more.

I think it makes interesting reading (even for me as an atheist) so please don't see my comment as negatively intended. It was not my purpose at all to negatively criticise the posting of religious subjects or themes on this forum. That why there is a Break Room after all, isn't it, everything should be discussable and postable. So please don't see my earlier comment as a critic, only as a suggestion.

And for the record: I may not be a believer myself, I do find religion very interesting to read about. I have friends of Christian, Muslim and Jewish faith and try to gain as much general knowledge as I can on these subjects. Regardless of what one believes or doesn't believe in, religion is an important subject in society so it is just very interesting to be educated on it.

clarification: I don't find religion very interesting, I respect people but not man-made faith which is often called relgion, im not religious I just loved the Lord. Actually I hate religion because it displays God as different.

Thank you very much for bumping my thread.

I know it's just a feedback nothing more, we are entitled to whatever we can say we got freewill.

I just find it timely to share God's love on this forum since it's Valentine's Day the day of love.

God loves you so much that He gave His Only Begotten Son To die in your place :) all He ask is you love Him back.

Quite an interesting thread you have going here William.
I would love to see more threads like this, and possibly from other religions such as Islam and Hindu, that would be quite interesting.
This isn't really the best forum for it, but I think it would add to the community.

Everyone should be taking this lightly, if you don't believe in it, you don't believe in it. We won't judge you. I don't see why the admins would disallow this unless the users get annoyed.
I would like to encourage other religions to post threads like this if they can, then we can all learn about them and what they have to offer.

Well, I would love a topic on Torah and Quran passages as I am very interested in Middle Eastern culture, I fear though we don't have many people to keep up those postings. Most members at NP seem to either be christians or atheists.

I've often wondered why there aren't political and religious subforums here in the Break Room? You all know I like to discuss these types of things and it would help eliminate hard feelings from those who don't.

I think too many folks anymore don't want to offend anyone and just keep quite about their beliefs. I think it's refreshing to see people with some passion.

I just hope it doesn't devolve into one big argument about "if your God is so great then......"

I'm all for keeping the thread alive. God Bless!

I am all for keeping it alive as well. We could have some meaningful discussions. pro and con, as long as they are kept in check, and nobody gets out of hand. I just remember the old adage, never discuss politics or religion, that's how war's start. Just be careful.
